it's not working properly and does not use the native player when selecting from a widget, like your Up-Next episode widgets or Continue Playing widget for movies. Who knows if they will fix it, but you can set it in settings so every time you select an episode or movie, it will show a pop-up that you can choose to play with the external player and this will make it work all the time.
Thank you for the confirmation. I am still staying with my old Z9X for the time being until a more stable solution is found as for the previous models. For my library I have always used ZDMC with Aeon MQ9 for both graphical appearance and database organization.
It does work with a few issues. It will use Zidoo player if you play from main TV or Movie section but not if played directly from outside like 'In progress' or 'Recently added'. However can get round that by pressing menu and selecting 'Play using..' from context menu. Hopefully it will be fixed at some point - but it is still usable.
Is anyone here have DD+ passthrough on IEC mode? I tried to change it to RAW but there's a weird noice and the cuts like every 3-5 secs...
Amigos, estou usando o Kodi no Z9x 8k, mas ele só roda em fullhd, não em 4k. O Kodi está configurado para 4k. O que estou fazendo errado?
Can you guys please fix this app? it does not use the Zidoo Player unless you go into settings and set it to ask what you want to do every time you go to watch something. Then it brings up the Menu asking if you want to play with the Zidoo player. but just hitting play uses the Kodi video player.
I can confirm the same, ugh. Did that break in a previous firmware cause I didn't notice it previously?
No its been like this since they put the app out. They updated it super quick for the new boxes to shut people up, but because it was rushed, they didn't finish it. Only making things playable with the zidoo player when selecting from your library. Widgets don't work, which is what most people use. So you can't play the next episode of a TV Show from the home screen, you have to actually go into your library, look for the TV shows, then fond the episode and play it from there.
Don't buy Zidoo Player! That's the only solution. Zidoo doesn't care about customizing ZDMC properly. So why should we continue to support Zidoo's "great" support!? I didn't buy the new generation. I would if they maintained ZDMC properly.
videos with dolby vision do not play smoothly with kodi player (not with kodi 21.2 either). Could it be solved?
possibly, but it would depend on your file source, quality of rip and if using wifi or not. If using files you did not rip yourself, make sure they are not "hybrid" DV's as these are often of very dubious quality; where an HDR10 rip has been injected with DV from a different source than the original. Firstly, try a DV video on a USB stick and see if it plays fine. If so, that eliminates the potential issues of file and Zidoo player (so then, network or hard drive issues are most likely source).
I have tried several dolby vision files that work fine with the zidoo player, but with the kodi player they don't play smoothly. It only happens with dolby vision files, all the others work fine. I have added ZDMC to the Zidoo whitelist and it changes to 24hz but the image has jumps, however if it is not added it goes to 60hz and has less image jumps
This suggests you may not have installed ZDMC correctly. It is supposed to use the Zidoo player by default, which means it will play exactly the same as if you use the File Manager or HT5. You can test by clicking on the remote menu button "Play Using..." and select Zidoo Player {which should show as (default)}. Kodi Player will not do well with any DV file.
I was referring all the time to the kodi player with dolby vision files (with the zidoo player everything plays fine). But I have already solved it. The error occurs in the automatic change of hz when the movie starts in kodi, going from 60hz to 23.976hz. Changing the resolution manually to 3840x2160p 23.976hz in the zidoo settings there are no jerks in dolby vision (with the kodi player).
