ZDMC 21.0 for AML S928X

Tried it in my phone. Why changing skin is still not working properly?

 

it never has, I don't think they care cause it has been mentioned hundreds of times and still not fixed.

 

the name of the player app is different on the newer platform. I think it would need to be modified to call com.android.gallery3d instead of com.zidoo.player to work on the previous gen players.

maybe someone will make that tweak soon.

 

No way in any other boxes than Z9X 8K as it needs fw v1.1.47 or above

 

Working fine on a Z1000pro (calls the Zidoo player, not that I use it any longer since HT5.

 

ZDMC works great, I've been trying several things and both third-party addons and local playback work very well, changing both resolution and frames and applying HDR to the content that needs it. I've tried removing the external player option and everything works with the ZDMC player and it works great too.

 

I used the rapier skin in ZDMC in the previous incarnations of the media players. Updating to ZDMC of the 8K players gives the message "rapier Skin not Supported in ...21.. etc. So installed Aeon Nox from the kodi repository in "ADDONS" in ZDMC and it installs and works!. There are a number of skins that are available in this repository for ZDMC that are compatible

 

Can someone please test write permissions? Select file in ZDMC and hit delete -> 'yes' -> Is the file still there??

(Settings ZDMC: Settings > Media Settings > General > Allow file renaming and deletion -> on)

 

Info the reason why the Rapier skin and some others do not work or are not supported is due to a change in KODI itself

And by doing the tweak as described in this thread I have the Rapier skin up and running in XMBC v21

 

You can fool kodi into thinking those skins are compatible by modifying the following line in addon.xml to

<import addon="xbmc.gui" version="5.17.0"/>

Most skins/features still work.

 

This version 21 is also working fine on the older Z1000 Pro

I have a prepared folder with my own font .kodi/media/Fonts - where should I copy it?

Not a clue sorry - I don't use ZDMC.

 

Good to know it’s still possible to use Kodi in ZDMC form in the new models. One step closer to me pulling the trigger.

 

I could not get it to work in my Z2000 Pro. I reverted back to 20.2.

 

Hello, people have tried ZDMC 21, because it launches the video for me but no matter what setting I put it stays on the zdmc player and not the zidoo player.

 

Same for me.

 

It works fine for me. I use artic zhapyr and if I play movies from the main screen where there are different categories it uses zdmc player. If I go to the movies category then it uses zidoo player.

 

It makes no difference for me - if I select play external player or not. It always uses internal Kodi player.
