Hello. When I try to play a 4K movie MKV with 60fps, I see the screen blink green and nothing appear. I have try the native player and ZDMC. Same result. Why? Thanks a lot
Is everything in the HDMI chain HDMI 2.0 compatible? 4K @ 60Hz needs HDMI 2.0a. So cable must of adequate quality (particularly if it's a long cable) and the cable needs to be plugged into an HDMI 2.0 port on the TV with that port enabled for HDMI 2.0 in TV settings.
Thanks futeko, I have Norstone Arran HDMI cable @1.50 m length. I have some problems with HDR, like some other person with Samsung's Input Signal Plus (Deep Color mode) comaptibility. I wrote in the X20 forum, but no one can help yet.
The Labels for HDMi 2.0/2.0a are non existent HDMI is not labled or recognised this way you should be looking at HDMI labled with Premium High Speed for all 4K playback HDMI 2.1 will be labled when 8K comes to fruition https://hdmi.org/spec/premiumcable
Try turning OFF Auto Frame-rate and resolution. It probably then just plays fine. It might even keep working when you re-enable it after that. This happened with me playing a specific MKV.
My problem MKV was "Northanger Abbey" in 1080P25 format not 2160P60. Both a bit uncommon but within standards.
Ok, i will try it On my side i found the Movie ''Gemini Man'' UHD 60Hz, i want to see if the zidoo switches to 4.2.0 10Bit
Gemini Man UHD 59Hz in BD ISO format starts for me just fine, but it has a problem with sound. It is not P60 but P59 to be precise. It may interrupt sound and occasionally will get out of sync then. Sound can be recovered by going back somewhat after that point and it restarts synched again. Happened i believe 4 times during the total movie. I don't know if all P59 movies have this problem? But I had it on my Z9S so also RTD1296 platforms are affected.
ok, i saw this in the section zidoo x8 http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/gemini-man-hfr-60fps.69883/ i'm going to try the MKV version
