When in the new theme and in Home view (look at the permanent bar at bottom of screen), there will be a cog symbol top right of control app screen. Press this and you get the settings for the app including being able to revert. If you are in Devices view then there will be a settings cog for each device listed. This gives access to the usual settings for the streamer that we are used to seeing from the older app.
Hello all, Today the DMP A-06 started with a new app skin and some features stopped working as accessing to my Music in the Amazon HD music account. Although the albums are listed with the name and album picture, when clicking on any Album, the system returns the message “The resource you requested wasn’t found on Amazon Music servers”. I’ve disconnected and connected several times my Amazon account on the DMP and also rebooted the device… Accessing songs through the Artist, then chose Album you can see the Album tracks, but, when click on play, the system returns “Track no longer available”. It is incredible anyone can publish a new version with this big bug knowing the price of the system. Thanks
Go to settings in the app: upper right - see red box: look for back to old app: see red box: press ok: that`s it: EDIT: You can switch it vice versa as often as you want.
I second that. I am having the exact problem. I had been having issues with the native Amazon Music APP on Eversolo Control on my iPhone in general, so I just thought it was related to those issues.
I can’t find any option to rollback the version of the DMP. Only allows me to manually update but nothing related to rollback.
Maybe there is confusion here......This thread is about the new version for the APP on your phone. Not about the software version on the DMP unit itself.
Hi All, In terms of pure user interface design, this new one sucks big time. (iOS) Went back to the previous interface and now neither of my numerous local playlists are there. Has anyone else experienced this? Under "My", where playlists used to be, now there's a "Shuffle Play" button, a message stating "There is no favorite items" and a "Reload" button. See attached screen capture. Selecting the "Reload" button brings back nothing. If I go to the unit's screen, the playlists are there and work fine. The app seems to have lost track of the playlists. Cannot find a way to go back to the new interface. Any comments?
Going back to the classic app theme, if this is what you want, can be done. Assuming you are in the new app theme, click on the Home tab in the lower bar at the bottom of the screen to make sure you are in Home. Then the settings cog top right when pressed shows the app settings, including one to revert to classic theme. The settings cog in the Devices tab is different, it shows the device settings.
Sorry, in order to make everyone understand better that the playlist is a global playlist, you can add tracks from different music services, and it was not user-friendly to display it in the music library before. So we moved the list to the "My Favorites" interface.
Hi Bob. Thanks for visiting the thread. My continuing frustration is that the shuffle feature (accessed either through Tracks>Shuffle or Music Library>My>Shuffle pulls from a very limited range of what is on the SSD and cannot (so far as I can tell) be re-shuffled. It always starts with the same queue at the beginning, so scrolling down (and down and down and down) is required every time if you don't want to listen to the same songs over and over again. I use shuffle a lot. It is supremely frustrating. It is also quite possible there is a simple way to refresh the queue and the selection of cuts pulled that I haven't discovered. Please help!
+1 for Neal's post. This issue has been raised in at least 3 lengthy threads and the response from zidoo support has been disappointing (as in no reply). It seems daft that we can add sizeable SSDs yet be restricted by the ineffective shuffle function and 2000 limit. I have found a clunky temporary workaround this limit but this lasts only until the unit is shut down. The list will disappear so unable to resume from where it's left off. A solution to this QOL issue would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Sure Neal. First to say is that I am using 1.3.80 as local playlists no longer appear on the device since the recent update - I've reverted to last known 'functional' firmware i.e it suits my needs - yours may vary. This procedure is carried on the touch screen: 1> Ensure the play queue is clear (via Home screen) 2> Find your playlists. Choose one (for example a jazz list of 9285 local flac files in this case) 3> Look for the 3 dots that appear to the right of the 3 lines that indicate sorting preferences when the first track shows up. 4> Click the third option after clicking the dots (Add all tracks to end...) 5> Wait just a second or so - until you get the 'operation success' pop up. 6> Click the 3 dots again - select 'Play..' from the first / top of these options. I do this even if play has started. 7> Go to Home Screen. Check that all files in the playlist show in the queue. (9285 here) 8> Go back to now playing screen. Cycle to shuffle. 9> And breathe However: you will have that queue for only as long as the device stays live. Once shut down, the play queue will not be preserved. So very flakey but that's about the best i can do for now. Maybe it does show that the DMP-A6 can queue up more than 2000 files? And not beyond a possible fix by Zidoo team. All that's required is a save option. And a better shuffling algorithm.
This is fantastic! Thanks for posting it. I don't use or have playlists but I suppose I could create one for this purpose and choose that.
It may take a few practices to get it for a while. I've slowly developed a muscle memory to attune to the rhythm of fingerpicking this mess. Anyoldhow, good luck with it.
I guess the I pad app is different Vs phone version ? I don't see anything that looks like the above screeenshots. No home button or gear icon. Using A6 V1 The only issues I have with the new app version is the day/night crap (make so we can turn this off) and the current Queue is sometimes buggy. When I go to directly select a track it does not respond (note: the track is highlighted blue when this occurs). tap. tap tap and nothing. I have to go back or jump forward and then "maybe" it will directly select the track from the queue ? I thought it was maybe the new start track feature I turned On but I have the issue with that off.
