I find that the wired network connected to my eversolo DMP A8 running firmware version 1.3.30 does not connect at times when starting up eversolo requiring a restart for it to connect. The network cable is of good quality and the lights are on at the network port but why this intermittent issue is something I fail to understand. Alternate is to use 5Ghz WiFi since my router is well within range. Anyone experience the same ?
I have already defined a sticky address. That is MAC reservation so that the DHCP assigns the same ip address each time the eversolo connects. So that is not the issue. I see unconnected when I go to the wired connection and this happens at random on startup of eversolo. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Yes the static ip seems to work well. So identified an ip address that I can use for my eversolo. On my router used an address reservation, basically mapping the MAC address of the eversolo to that ip address, so that no other device on the network gets the same address from dhcp. Then on the eversolo turned WiFi off and for wired network turned dhcp off. Then manually set the ip, gateway and DNS address. Post that the wired networks seems to work well. So looks to be the dhcp on the eversolo is the issue as it misbehaves intermittently. The added advantage of using a wired network is that we can now turn on/off the eversolo using the app. To turn on the eversolo, the app will try to connect and fail after some time due to eversolo being off. Then the wake on lan pops up. Use that to start the eversolo remotely and after it starts up use reconnect on the app to bring up the UI on the app.
My eversolo DMP A8 takes about 3 to 4 minutes for the controller app to connect. It’s a static address running firmware 1.3.80 Was working fine until yesterday. Now each time I shutdown and boot up the A8 the controller app on my iPhone takes 3 to 4 mins to establish connection. Even though my router should that is already on the network. Anyone else seeing this issue ?
