Hi all, I used to just access the Share on the DMPA6 Master Edition without any issues. Now Windows needs Username and Password. I don't see info about this anywhere. Anyone running into this? Please see screenshot. 192.168.1.47 is my Eversolo music share (that used to work fine). Thanks!
those are the SMB credentials for the share. If you haven't set them up (that is: you set the SMB share without them, aka guest + no password...) you need to. It's another of the useless LAN enforced security BS that Windows feels like to force you to use...

Aha! I have success! My findings: 1. The gpedit.msc option looked great - but didn't work for me. Apparently that's a Win11 PRO feature and I'm hampered by the lowly Home version. (There are some hoops you jump through to install gpedit but I saw them and said, "Eeeww, too much for my small brain"). 2. What ended up working was turning on password in Eversolo's network Samba settings. I did eventually find some info on DMPA6's site about this - but I wasn't quite smart enough to link the importance of Samba with it beforehand. It's not exactly intuitive, but it's all good in the end. So far so good! Many thanks Nutul and Netmask! Merci et Cordialement, from France!
