Will the A8 ever be RoonReady ?

Who has already installed the new firmware? Is everything working? Or are there pitfalls?

 

The firmware is still in the final testing. After the firmware is updated, it will appear in the Roon ready devices.

In another thread it is said the official firmware will be released June 3, could be the 2nd for the western world.
I'll wait for official release still using a Demo from my stereo shop.

 

Well apparently I can't reply to you or view your picture, but what released at google link is beta version. The official version will prompt you to install via your eversolo.

Now why can't a new member look at pictures?

The system update is just under 1gb in size, I used an old 8gb usb key formatted fat 32.
Used the USB update feature.
I can confirm it's Roon Ready, impressed it picked up my external DAC capabilities in audio device setup as USB was selected on A8.

I can add when changing outputs on DMP while listening to Roon, press pause in Roon first, then switch output on Eversolo, change input on playback device (if not using as preamp). Then press play in Roon. In my setup not pressing pause first caused some unexpected behaviour.
A problem I had with spdif in volume control bypass is fixed. With music being the expected output not about half of expected loudness. Compared to another outputs.
