So far I have correctly read all threads, I have not seen any message related to versions after v1.0.3.9. However, members mentionned v1.0.4.0 and v1.0.4.1. (Installed on recently received z9). Do these versions can be installed only on recent z9 due to hardware modification, or is the development team spending holidays ?
Some potential purchasers of Zidoo X9 are putting questions on a website in my country, specialised in audio/video. Up to now I have recommended this box, but having no answer related to the firmware, I just recommended to waive the purchasing. Explanations are strongly needed !
There also the fact that other manufacturer like mele and tronsmart are selling for 1/3 price similar product stuff with zidoo software. There is no update since september, most post in X9 receive no answers... for my part I will not answers any new post to help users, I suggest other member to do so and let Zidoo explain there attitude.
For most of the potential clients in developed countries the price is not the main criteria. What we need is a correct manufacturing quality and a follow-up of the firmware. Stopping the support to clients because competitors are proposing similar products at a lower price, but with a lower quality, would be a stupidity.
Glad Zidoo customer are your client Papiguy, for my part I help people on a free basis, since Zidoo staff do not answer post I do not see the point of doing so.
I have also been looking for information about different Versions of firmware, lets hope for an answer. As you mention holidays and busy times could be a factor and they have come along way since the first Zidoo X9. Some of the brands you mention run less ram no BT that could be a reason, just a change in WIFI chip in X9 would require a change. All speculation lets hope for some answers.
Why are you thinking I am a retailer ? This is not the case, and, having received help from members in some forums, I find normal to do the same here, as far as I can.
Hey I messaged Zidoo and they are working on the X6 so don't have time at moment for X9 but they will be getting back to it soon and if you have an immediate problem contact their engineer for tech support.
