Just bought a Play and it is on V1.4.82. When I tell it to look for updates, it tells me it is up to date ?
Am I missing something ? Is there a way to update manually ?

 

Just go to the McBluna.net website and download the differential firmware update from 1.4.82 to 1.5.10 for the Play streamer, put it unaltered onto a USB stick, insert into OTG port and do an update from the USB device.

 

Is it necessary to unzip the file?

 

Just leave as is, the streamer will do what is required when you navigate to the file as part of the manual update.
