So far very happy with the new firmware. HT is also working better/faster (large film collection and series) and now it keeps good track of watching in progress as previous version that would not work properly. I've been buying Ziddo for several years now and this is the best supported piece of hardware so far (owned various hardware in the past, including Kodi related), at least in my view. My question, is there a new Ziddo product in development or is the video mediaplayer kept on Hold because of the audio players? I will definitely buy a new Ziddo..... and as last remark: Thank you Markswift! I am not posting that much but I regularly check this forum and read yous posts.

Updated but still stuttering and a-freezing.

Tried via USB and still the same.

However, VLC streamed from server and USB fine. Jellyfin app paused twice in a ten minute test. Zidoo built in Jellyfin would not let me select my server.

So appears fault may lie with Zidoo player?

Will try Kodi as need Dolby Vision capabilities.

    Appreciate that!

Nothing in the pipeline I'm aware of - there are no new SoCs on the way at the moment... But I've been surprised before so you never know...

Just realized the function has been added along the way. I have been rocking v1.2.01 since I found it quite stable. Now I am facing a dilemma.. would really like to try SDR BT.2020

Did all the above even restored backup, but ht folders all empty.

Thank you to the Zidoo team for fixing the issue with TV LED (Auto) and (Forced). I can confirm that, in the first test, Dolby Vision movies play without stuttering in Forced mode on the LG C2 OLED.

Ah, ok, so if restoring the backup doesn't work it looks like the database is corrupt and that corruption is transferred to the backup (which makes sense as the backup is mainly a copy of the SQLite database).

I think the only way forward here is to reset HT (HT/Settings/Data Manager/Clear Data > Clear).

This completely resets HT back to factory so the database is wiped.

But as long as the art and NFOs are ok, you can rescrape with NFO Priority and Local Art Priority on and that should get you back where you were with the exception of any widget tweaks etc you did.

At the moment I think it is the best firmware ever released.
Yesterday I tried changing 6 or 7 films in a row and fast forwarding and rewinding without any problems or jerking.
Let's hope things continue like this and I'm all set.
Now I have to study all the new additions carefully.

Couple minor bugs on first night of watching tv epis

Started the first TV epis and after a few mins i thought colours were brighter so checked settings via Pause .2160p source was playing at 1080p/60
So the random loss of set EDID bug still occurs (that was from startup )

Finished playing an epi of 2 and a half men , double back (bottom left joggle pad) twice to stop/exit the episode and system did a reboot
This bug has occured on most f/w variants since i got the box ....super rare/random ,doesnt bug me too much ...reported on most new f/w releases
Feels almost like its a timing issue with the double back command to stop /exit back to folder menu ,ie if i do it too fast ,is when i get the reboot
Cam occur after a tv epi or a movie

Other wise no issues so far no stutter as always but only watched tv epis last night ,ill try a 4k DV movie tonight with luck

A few times when I watched a movie and I hit the back button for another one, Hdmi handshake issue? The LG says no signal. I must reboot the Zidoo. Weird.

I make a factory reset on firmware 1.3.05_G. No improvement. Still, over 70 movies and my family archive, ripped from VHS to AVI files, from my collection won't play in Zidoo Media Center.

In the previous firmware 1.2.42_G, they all worked. Why do these AVI files work correctly on version 1.3.05 in VLC? Is it possible? If they don't fix this, I have a lot of work to do re-encoding the files that don't play in Media Center.
