video on the Z3000Pro, I was reminded of the past –A brief, one-off stutter after 10 seconds of playback, e.g. after a pause. The last time this happened was when I was using HDMI audio.

Bug report when using NFO in a second box:
Information source of TV Show is not displayed
in the PosterWall window of a second Z9X 8K. Movie is displayed correctly.
Both are well displayed in main box, the one used to create NFO files - set as priority source. All NFO files are located in NAS-WiFi folders.

No info source shown in TV Show.png

A new player has been announced — the Dorpo UHP-3001 (from ex-OPPO team). It reportedly supports displaying the dubbing studio / translation studio name when selecting an audio track.
To be honest, if Zidoo still doesn’t add this simple feature, I will definitely switch to the Dorpo UHP-3001.:D:D:D
For me it’s a deal-breaker when you have multiple audio tracks to choose from.

I also don't understand why this feature isn't implemented in Zidoo media boxes... After all, it doesn't present any difficulty for developers.
The beauty of the MKV container is that it supports audio and subtitle signatures. A deliberate refusal to provide users with access to this information is simply baffling... We strongly urge the developers to implement this feature.

I mite order one to see if it comes with stuttering. Lypsinc. reboots. Dynamic backgrounds. and official firmware mite be worth a punt.

Please tell me what firmware you have and which files exactly are stuttering.

I see the spoiler alert;) I know that new brands often come with their own set of issues. I also understand that Dorpo isn't exactly an "OPPO successor" in technical terms, but that's not the point.
My point is simple: if a newcomer understands the importance of basic usability like track labels, why does Zidoo ignore it? I love the Zidoo hardware, but these "small" software omissions are what make people look elsewhere.

I don't have one, but from talking to those who have I think the Dorpo is very underdeveloped - basically using out of the box functionality of the SDK with very little customisation. They've obviously taken design cues from HT and if you pull their firmware apart and unzip their posterwall apk you can see they've actually nicked some assets from Zidoo.

One thing in their favour is that like Zidoo (and unlike Dune who are still on v2.4), Dorpo use the later v2.6 of the Dolby Vision kernel object.

I'm not sure what you mean by "if a newcomer understands the importance of basic usability like track labels, why does Zidoo ignore it?"

Mark, for those with a single audio track in a file, it doesn't matter whether the audio tracks in the MKV container are labeled or not. But for those whose native language isn't English, for example, the file may contain multiple translations, and it's crucial to be able to see the audio track labels during viewing.

    "Exactly what @rockmeloman said.
For native English speakers, there's usually only one track, so they might not notice the issue. But for those of us whose native language isn't English, a single MKV often has 5+ localised tracks: official dubbing and several different private studio translations.
Right now, Zidoo just shows 'Language + Codec' five times in a row. You have to switch them one by one manually just to find the right studio. It’s 2026, and reading the 'Track Name' tag from the MKV header is a basic feature. Why is Zidoo still ignoring it?"

Right I understand - yes that makes perfect sense and would be a definite improvement - I'll pass this on.

I had already discussed this with @Markswift2003 a while back.
then submitted a request to @Zidoo Support-Kim , who told me that my request had been noted... The result: still nothing, and it hasn't been addressed.

This is not so much a problem as an opportunity to add useful functionality with little effort from developers.

Moreover, this function is implemented in Dune media boxes...

Thank you for your continued patience.
Here’s a brief update on the recent topics.
    1. Reboot Issue: We've logged the cases and reported them. A fix is planned in a future firmware update. Meanwhile, using a CEC blocker may help improve stability.
    2. The "Optimized music service reset function" refers specifically to improving the login reset process for music apps on the UHD8000.
    3. Request of audio and subtitle signatures(MKV): Your request has been forwarded to the tech team. No response yet.
We’re also looking into other issues, like the missing TV show information source. I will share updates once I have.

@Thomas H Pardon, have you uploaded a log? And the files for an example? If you have sent to me, could you please mentioned me again? Thanks.
