Even if this solves my problem, it's just a workaround...
For those with the same problem, does setting it to "Match frame rate only" solve the problem?
    @Zidoo Support-Kim , @Markswift2003 :
I'm willing to work around the problem, but it still needs to be fixed by Zidoo:
When the setting is on Match frame rate and resolution, it happens randomly, but very often, that when the video starts, the screen goes black and the TV says it is not receiving a signal. It is impossible to play two episodes back-to-back because, once again, the screen goes black between them.

Pressing stop brings the video signal back.

I don't have this problem if I set it to Match frame rate only.

Might be worthwhile if you put your A/V chain/equipment in your signature? At the moment, you say there is an issue, with no way of anyone being able to get a handle on what might be a culprit....just a thought.

Hi. I'm an electronics repairman. I got frustrated and finally disassembled my Zidoo Z9X 8K. The processor's heat dissipation solution is very poor. The processor heats up very quickly after being turned on, and the heat is only dissipated by a 2-millimeter thermal pad, which, in my case, is worn out after two years. Furthermore, thick thermal pads conduct heat from the bottom of the PCB and from the heatsink to the case. Shortly after turning it on, I could smell the overheated processor, and the screen stuttered. I made a perfectly fitting copper insert to replace the worn thermal pad and applied high-quality thermal paste on both sides (from the processor and the heatsink). I mounted the heatsink, assembled the player, and so far, I haven't had any stuttering. Interestingly, Samba transfer from the computer has significantly increased. I'm testing it now, so we'll see.

Qualified and experienced electrical and electronics engineer here (used to be ee&e, now apparently we're called triple E - kids of today eh?) - I must admit I've never felt the need to change the heatsink coupling on these devices, but yes, I'll whole heartedly agree they run a lot hotter than their Realtek counterparts. As I say, it was one of the first things I noticed when I got my first engineering box.

Thermal pads shouldn't wear out though - I've never seen that.

Keep us informed - this is an interesting subject and it's nice to see something not related to software for a change!

I put it in my signature, but if I remember correctly, I'm not the only one with this kind of problem.

I might be mistaken, but I seem to remember one or two others with a Denon that had a few issues - not sure if it was the lip sync option in the Denon or something else...Like I said, I could be mistaken,

With the Zidoo Z9X 4K (which I unfortunately no longer have), I didn't have any screen issues or stuttering... Denon isn't to blame, and it doesn't happen all the time—often, but not all the time. Now that I've set it to “Framerate Only,” it hasn't happened again!!

Ok guys, I cleaned up a bit.

As has been said many times, this is a global forum and all are welcome but political commenting will not be tolerated along with all the usual stuff - abuse blah blah blah.

No fingers pointed and no harm done.

I own a Zidoo UHD8000 (firmware v1.3.05) hdd ironwolf 16tb, and honestly I feel like I wasted a lot of money on this device. When playing 4K Dolby Vision p7 movies, the player constantly has micro-stutters. The only temporary workaround is to exit the movie and start it again. It may play normally for a while, but then the stuttering starts again.

I have tested the exact same files on media players from other brands and they play perfectly without any issues. This is the most basic function a media player should perform, and even the cheapest Chinese players handle it without problems.

It is extremely frustrating that such an expensive device cannot reliably play 4K Dolby Vision content. This should have been fixed a long time ago.

Are you actually planning to fix this problem, or should I just replace this player and never buy a Zidoo product again?

I think I've fixed my black screen issue by performing a factory reset... (This box is really starting to get on my nerves)... But now—and yes, with Zidoo, there’s always a catch—it restarts when I turn it off (even though I’ve paired my remote control properly), or restarts when I turn it on... It’s infuriating: it’s 2026, China is at the cutting edge of technology, and they manage to produce this kind of junk... It’s not that Zidoo doesn’t know how to make a decent one; it’s simply not their priority—as long as sheep like us keep buying it.
I have a Nokia Stream 8010 in my bedroom and a Strong Leap S3 Pro in my gym, and I have no issues; they handle CEC much better than my Zidoo.
How do cheap boxes costing between €60 and €80 manage to do what Zidoo can’t? Answer: determination and greater respect for their customers
(Even when Streamview ended the Nokia franchise and took over the Thomson franchise last year, we continued to receive updates, patches, etc.)
The proof is that since that disastrous update from Zidoo... we haven’t heard a peep from Zidoo or Zidoo support. (This year, the Chinese New Year is very, very, very long.)
I hear some people saying, “Nothing is perfect; technology has its flaws."
..... I'm not against it, but in this case, they shouldn't make people pay the price of a flawless device... Some people had to save up to treat themselves to this product, and they really got the short end of the stick.
I get the comments about the Zidoo's capabilities compared to the competition, sure, but you still have to know how to use it properly....
I’m venting a little because right now I can’t use my Zidoo without running into problems, and I’m not the only one, but we haven’t heard a peep from Zidoo.
I’ll say it again: this brand’s popularity would go back up if they allowed a firmware downgrade...
Now that I've said what I had to say and let off some steam (sorry, everyone), to be honest, I just hope there will be a fix...

    Re: 1.3.05
I have the Z30 PRO and have experienced some stuttering playing SDR files with subtitles on. I hit Stop and restarted playback and the problem went away.
I haven't played a lot of DV/HDR files but so far so good.
The thing that upsets me is I can no longer play most avi files. I have a lot of TV shows I collected and many are old avi format. The previous firmware had no problem.
I'd like to be able to roll back the firmware. I don't have much confidence that Zidoo will fix whatever they mucked up with avi playback.
I'd have to resurrect my old WDTV for those except it doesn't connect to my WiFi network.
I'd like to recommend Zidoo to a friend who is looking into getting a media player but I can't right now.

Unfortunately, they've messed up the software so much that most AVI files don't work. I managed to fix it by installing VLC for Android. I recommend it; most AVIs are at least watchable.

AVI is just a container so is not relevant. It's the codec that's important.

Most likely it's Xvid or Divx and the FourCC (Four Character Code) is wrong. A common problem with old files.
