Does the amplifier display say PCM 96khz?

Yes, absolutely! That's why I said "it plays at 96kHz". As I am very happy with the stability of the 1.2.36 FW, I will not be upgrading to .40 at the moment. But I think it's strange that going from .36 to .40 the devs messed up with this...so maybe it's worth a double check on your side (I use RAW HDMI output, you too?). If you confirm the issue, then I'll leave it to @Markswift2003 ...

Yes, I use the second HDMI port for audio only and it's set to Raw. The weird thing is that the 96kHz 5.1 PCM encoding works perfectly. Theoretically, this shouldn't work either, but it does! Booo? Which HDMI port do you use to connect to the amplifier? The main HDMI port or the secondary one?

I have Z9X 8K, so just one HDMI output ;)

Oh okay, I can try using the UHD8000's main HDMI port to the amplifier and see what happens. I'll try this tomorrow ;)

Thank you. This has fixed the problem of foreign language dvd rips not playing.

Updated. Resolution set back to Auto again.

And PCM stereo is again broken despite it being fixed on the prior firmware. PCM now is back to only outputting as 48khz. I confirmed it the prior firmware thread that this long standing problem was finally fixed and audio was outputting at 96khz. Now the same files (ISOs and mkv rips) with 96khz PCM stereo tracks now show as 48khz again.

Quick run through on MCH stuff and all is working fine..... ie flac5.1 , m4a Atmos , and DSF 5.1 Ill check Ballerina tonight after dinner , but i never have the stuttering issue a couple people always seem to have ,so doubt that will change

So apparently this was broken again with this new FW. I can confirm it is fixed (also up to 176 KHz actually) for FW 1.2.36 I am running on Z9X 8K.

    Hi Guys,
not sure if other apps are affected, but on this 1.2.40 FW the TVNZ on Demand app from the PlayStore quits after about 2 minutes of use. Never had any issues on the 1.2.22 FW, which I'll reinstall.

Edit : how do I get back to FW 1.2.22? I just tried to do the upgrade via USB to the 1.2.22 FW file I have on my SMB share and it won't install? "Verify failed, the upgrade package is lower than the current version" Help please.

    Using a Z3000 Pro.
Zidoo is unusable for me if my wife can't watch local Streaming TV.... :(
    Cheers, Dan.

Just for you to know, you can't downgrade to previous FWs

Hahahaha!! It's truly absurd that it worked in 1.2.36 and not in 1.2.40! It's incredible and I'm really struggling to understand certain dynamics within the zidoo team.

There is a weird bug that prevents me from opening the "shows"section within the Jellyfin and Emby App. "Movies"works without any problems.
When I select "shows"on Jellyfin it immediately switches to the Emby app for some reason.
    See here:

    Super weird!

Can you provide steps to replicate?

Just open Jellyfin or Emby app and then under "my media" section try to open "Shows" (for Jellyfin) or "TV Shows" (for Emby).

    Did a reboot, no change.

I uninstalled the TVNZ on Demand app and reinstalled it and it seems to be happy now.
My wife certainly wasn't happy for a while there....

Assuming you need both a Jellyfin and an Emby server running.

Do you need the same TV shows loaded into Jellyfin AND Emby

Does this work both ways - ie Jellyfin opens Emby app and Emby opens Jellyfin app?

I noticed it first when Emby server was offline, but I assume you have to had it setup once.
So I just logged out of the Emby app but it still goes to the Emby App from Jellyfin.

    Logged out of Emby app:

Then it loads the Emby app and says "unauthorised":

And somehow I'm logged in (same profile name):

No, Emby tries to open Emby TV shows, but it fails/reloads.
