Just out of curiosity, what audio/sub tracks does scenario 1 & 2 have? (number and type).

Also what profile? Are they both the same profile? how long are the files? Is time a factor? Is DV really a factor?

I can play Profile 5 and or Profile 7 DV files back to back and get no stutter whatsoever, so back to back playback isn't a factor. At least in my setup.

You see where I'm going with this.

The 2nd episode has quite the same data. Same codecs, encoders, settings, etc.

I think there is nothing special about the data.

But why the hell is that happening @ my config? Again: Could the screensaver causes this issue? I am not sure whether I paused the video for a closet ride. ;) Otherwise It must have to do with the pause function....other reasons who have to do with the user (me) do not come into my mind.

And to answer a question: it ONLY happens with DV /// SDR and HDR10(+) is absolutely fine no matter how many films I watch or how many times I pause etc.

Try disabling screen saver during pause - it's known to cause problems and hasn't been fixed yet:

If you have VIDEO STUTTER please check THESE SETTINGS (updated) | Zidoo forum

I too had no watch history showing but I’ve just set up the weather app and now it’s showing watch history even if I play something for a minute or two great stuff

Ah, ok, I definitely missed that bug. Maybe it's the ticket to heaven though I do not like static pics on my OLED...(burn baby burn)
Anyway I'll give you feedback if your hint will have solved my issue.

The TV should have a function that allows you to temporarily turn off the screen without turning off the TV completely. This way, excess electricity is not consumed during a pause and the OLEDs do not burn out. I immediately turned off the screensaver on the Zidoo 8K media box, since I am very annoyed by the unsynchronized exit from a pause

You can leave screensaver on and only disable it for Video Pause.

    Yeah, that doesn't really help.

Yes, Mark, it is a nice addition to the settings. But I do not have an OLED, so there is no urgent need for a screensaver. Having a Zidoo Z9X, I downloaded hundreds of pictures of animals and birds, they changed as a screensaver one after another and my child liked it. But this is not a feature that we cannot do without

I use all the fanart from my movies for the screensaver which is quite nice to have on the TV while I'm working so I leave the screen saver on (after 10 minutes) but just have it turned off for Video Pause.

So why is that a problem? If it's just a Bluray with a Meridian lossless track it'll just play as any other BluRay surely?

    Thanks Mark
hadn't noticed that feature in the settings menu before
Have extended the end period out to 5 minutes, that should be enough
Still seems odd that the scrolling behaviour has changed with the recent FW update, but all good

The media-info you shared has NO Dolby Vision. It's an HDR10+ content
