Doesn't seem to include anything that wasn't already in 1.2.36 for the Z9x 8K. Just to bring all models to same firmware number.

Hi, the audio in ISOs with menus still fails even if a language other than English is selected by default. I'm talking about playing a movie from the menus and not selecting the language, just hitting play.

Translate : I agree, I've been commenting on this for a while now and last time they didn't even reply to me. We've been waiting for this for almost a year, and we're not the only Spaniards who've bought this product. Let's see if one day they listen to us and finally give us that joy. Other players like the Dune brand don't have this problem, but I trust Zidoo. I hope I'm not wrong.

There are a couple of undocumented fixes from 1.2.36 to 1.2.40 - these are to do with regressions after v1.2.22 in DVD PAL and NTSC playback and Vobsubs causing the player to crash:

    1. Vobsubs cause the player to immediately crash to the UI.
    2. PAL and NTSC DVD files playback is jerky with missing frames.
    3. Some SUP subtitle not display

So since this is an update from v1.2.22 for most people, they wouldn't have seen the regressions so they are omitted from the main changelog.

    @Markswift2003
I find that there is always significant latency when displaying posters on the poster wall.
I don't remember it being this bad on version 22... Is it the same for you?
The problem with “in progress” on the HT home page still hasn't been fixed...

    thanks

They haven't fixed the issue with HDMI audio output in PCM at 48 kHz in stereo. They've fixed the PCM 5.1 audio, which plays correctly at 96 kHz 24-bit.

Oh well it’s still not a 100% working unit then at least it’s a different firmware number to look at till the next one

No, no different - what version of HT do you show?

Actually don't worry - don't need to know - I only ask because I'm running a test version but I updated my 8000 and I can see the standard version on that - 4.3.74.

Nothing updated in the way of poster caching as far as I know

Performance on my 8000 is the same as before - 340 movies on the ALL page and scrolling is immediate (all images are cached).

What's the "in progress" issue on the home page?

Mark, first of all, thank you and the devs for the quick update. We appreciate you guys for all your efforts.
Should I make after update format or reset factory to avoid any glitch or conflict with file systems?

Personally I don't do anything - partly to see if anything happens, but so far nothing ever has.

It would be sensible and good practice to hard reboot the box (switch on the back) and I know a lot of people do that, but there's no need for anything more than that.

    the Firmware version .40 (4.3.74).
I find it less responsive when displaying the poster wall.

As I said above I'm using a much later test version at the moment with a different database scheme but my 8000 is using the same version of HT as you.

I just fired that up and tested and no lag at all - no performance loss compared to the previous version.

Hang on - you're not using a it on the 2K UI setting are you?

I confirm that the HDMI audio output is always fixed at 48kHz in stereo. I've tried several pure audio Blu-rays containing both PCM 2.0 96kHz 24-bit and PCM 5.1 96kHz 24-bit, and only the PCM 5.1 96kHz 24-bit encoding plays correctly. It's a real shame that there's always something that's never resolved 100%.

  20. I have screen desynchronization problems when I am in ht
