v1.2.36, v1.2.36_G Beta version for Z9X 8K

HT5 Backups created by this version of the firmware do not restore to HT5 on ZX9 Pro and prior models

This is still happening with 1.2.36.
Can someone try confirming/replicating the same behaviour please?

 

This is good news. I will turn the Zidoo on later and see if there's the 2.36 update message. Hope it works here as well.

 

Latest f/w seems nice, snappy and stable so far.

 

You have to go to the settings and trigger it.
It will be available.

Can you test Wheel of time S02 E01? i can not run it stutter free on TVled only stutter free on LLDV. (i'm still on .22)

If it's only that particular show that does it, there's your answer.

(Also, if I were to find a copy it's almost certain that the only similarity with your file would be the filename)

 

Since "1.2.36" the player freezes on "HELLO" when switched on........and slight instability which disappears after a restart.

 

Thought this was just me.
First time, it happened immediately after the auto reboot after installing the update. I had to power off the box using the rear switch.
After powering back on the second time, it froze on the Zidoo splash screen, and again, I had to power off using the rear switch.
On the third reboot, everything was fine.
I haven't tried again since this morning.

 

After an update I always fully power down (switch at back or pull plug), leave for a few minutes and then power back on.

Tried again, and got a black screen.
The front display screen looked normal (not stuck on 'Hello'), and I was able to successfully reboot using the remote this time.
These firmware releases are so hit and miss. One step forward, and two steps back.

 

A few seconds is fine.

I must admit I never reboot my boxes after a firmware update - part laziness and part to see if anything bad happens (not so far) but it is good practice to hard reboot (not soft reboot) after an update.

 

I still haven't received the update online. Last time I did it, I used the file downloaded from here for versions G_1.22 to G_1.25. Model: Z9X 8K ???

 

Further testing HT5 backups created from this firmware version also will not restore to any any AML box with a lower firmware version.

 

No issues so far but why does every update revert my display resolution back to auto from the 4K 23.976 DV I keep it on permanently? Not a big deal just curious as to why it happens.
