v1.2.25, v1.2.25_G Beta version for Z9X 8K

Sorry - still not heard anything...

 

So, two months now since the v1.2.25 was launched and I still didn't get it.

I have the beta option enabled, and have several times clicked on the check for update button, but so far nothing.

Is there any downsides to download the update by that external link and update it manually?

 

As per the first post, because it's a pre-release beta, you need to download and install this one manually - it's not provided OTA.

 

Stray high-energy cosmic radiation could potentially collide with a proton as you're downloading the file, creating a micro black hole which then triggers a runaway chain reaction which devours the entire solar system. Otherwise, no, you're unlikely to encounter any issues.

 

Is the pause button in other apps fixed in this one??
I'll need a replacement remote if I keep pushing it trying to pause apps, then it boots me to the home screen.... doh!!

 

That's fine then. Never liked this solar system that much ... the Sun can be a PITA in the summer. Will procede.

I'd put my Z9X 8k aside for a while due to various issues I was having with it. I'd really like to try this update, but I'm running 1.2.01 on my unit. What would be the proper upgrade path? There aren't any online updates to bring me to a more recent update.

What specifically are you pointing out from that page? I see the downloads. They call out that the download is a diff patch from a version that's later than mine. I tried to update using the file anyways, but the USB update doesn't let me use it.

 

Have you got "Receive Beta" ticked?

You need to be on v1.2.22 before you can update with this file.

 

Yes, I have the option enabled. It just comes back saying my unit is up to date.
