better question is why aren't people on .25 by now since it has been out for 6 weeks?

Oh wait unless that is only for the Z9X 8K only and not the higher models. My bad if so.

It was for me on my Z9x. I was not aware it had not been on the higher models when I wrote my original response.

As stated right at the top of the .25 thread, it's a pre-release beta for the Z9X 8K only and thus provided as a download for those who wanted to test it.

I have the UHD-8000 connected to my PC via USB-B, and it doesn't play DSD or PCM 24-96. Everything is in PCM 44.1. I have ASIO installed, and I don't have that problem with Eversolo.

The top model of the line has a connection to a PC via USB. It is a pity that this is not available for the younger models. This could be used to copy large files instead of SMB, since the transfer speed via SMB on the Zidoo 8K is reduced. As far as I know, even the youngest Dune model in the 8K series has a separate USB port for communication with a PC. Sadly...

Any ideas why this file is played as PCM 176.4 kHz on Z3000 pro over dedicated audio hdmi? In settings, for hdmi audio port I have DSD audio set as native... This hdmi port is directly connected to Yamaha A6A receiver witch is capable of DSD decoding.

Zidoo Model? Only the higher end Zidoo's will output native DSD via the 2nd Audio only HDMI port (as far as I am aware), unless you use USB out to a capable external DAC.

Z3000 pro has such port. Also this was mentioned in my message :)
Also, just to clarify, SACD iso image with DSD content played fine (as DSD64 2.82 MHz) on the same device.

Hi, I just upgraded from a Z2000Pro to a Z3000Pro and I really haven't noticed a difference after changing chips... I currently have a dedicated linear power supply uograde in the Zidoo and I was wondering if anyone upgraded from this model to the Dune Max 8K or the Revolution Pro8K which apparently has a TCXO clock. Do you know if this is audible? For me, the image is more than enough with the Z3000Pro, but I've always been an audio lover and if there's any improvement, I'd pay the difference.

I have both ziddo and dune 8 k units. The dune is connected via the usb port and the ziddo on smb. They both run at the same speed for me.

Must admit I didn't realise that any of these devices had either a Slave or OTG USB port, I thought they were all Host ports.

My UHD 8000 doesn't have one as far as I know but my Dune 8K has a Slave port. Can't imagine it being overly practical to use though.

Are you sure your AVR support DSD128 over HDMI ? Mine (Marantz av7704) does not and only supports DSD64! So HDMI forces the Ziddo to convert to PCM.
    try a DSD64 File !

So there you have it! SACD over HDMI is DSD64 only for your device.

manual states: DSD 2-kan. tot 6-kan. (2,8 MHz)
    aka dsd64
