Here's the remote and here's the backlight. Why doesn't anyone want to repeat it?

I don't find the V12 remote control convenient and readable in the dark after this old dinosaur))

 

I didn't like the V11 at all either. I couldn't get used to it in 5 months. I feel very nostalgic for the Z9X remote. Even without backlighting, you can see everything in the twilight and you quickly get used to the placement of the buttons by touch. I found one on Aliexpress. I hope they don't let me down with the quality...

 

I bought one.......hence I ended up keeping my original Zidoo 1000pro remote and selling the 1000pro with the V11.

My replacement I bought found it's way into the bin....yours might be better.

 

What version of the Remote comes with the UHD8000 ? Black with Green buttons

 

V12 I believe, good remote - I just get on better with the size of the orginal Z1000pro remote, and it's bluetooth/IR/backlite (which I think is called a V8 remote).

 

What was the problem with the remote control that was purchased separately? Where did you buy it? Please provide a link if possible.
P.S. The one I ordered from China costs $21. That's not cheap for an infrared remote. If it's of poor quality, I'll write the worst review in the history of Aliexpress on the site.

Weight is about a 1/4 of the original/thin plastic, only a few buttons light up, not bluetooth - basically a poor knock off.

The dv stutter test file has a lot of stuttering for me on Sony A95L . On tv led of course .

 

took it apart, cleaned it, nothing changed.
works just as badly as new))

P.S. I take back my words. After cleaning the (new) remote control, it (the remote control) started working correctly. It doesn't jump over a position.

Now the most important thing is that the development team understands us correctly and makes it so that there are no stutters on Sony and LG, and not the other way around, so that Samsung becomes like Sony)))

I have found an issue with the subtitles by default. When you have some subtitles tracks in your MKV, with one of them set by default in MkvToolnix and the Zidoo set on « track by default » for the full subtitle setting, the player will ignore the Tag and it will use the first track on the list.

For example :

- first subtitle track in English (activated but not set by default)
-second subtitle track in French (activated and set as the track by default)

The Zidoo player will use the English track and not the French one as it should do with the settings that I use for my Z3000 Pro. In other words, the player doesn’t respect the tags coming with the subtitles, even if the settings are correct.

This is an issue that we already had during the dev of the previous generation of Zidoo player and it had been solved.

 

I thought Ive found my settings to have everything in sync and no stutter issues.
But unfortunatly I didn't watch any DTS content since I upgraded the HT apk.
Curious enough it shouldnt change anything but fixing the PosterWall, DTS content is totaly out of sync again for me.
As if that wasn't enough, the options to delay playback in the settings are both not working at all. Tested maximum delay, doesnt care.
Movie with DTS and Dolby Vision - not watchable in TV Led Passthrough, I need to switch to LLDV, wasnt necessary before.

I don't get it, its like a suprise box, every day the Zidoo behaves differently..

I have to fiddle around with my AVR delay options again when watching some DTS content.

So frustrating, it is outrageous that there is absolutly no comminication about the current state and I dont know how many weeks passed without any updates trying to fix this broken box.

Im running out of patience, If I could refund, I wouldnt hesitate and never look back..

That reminds me of another subtitle issue : the italic tags <i></i> in a srt subtitle (internal in mkv file in my case) are completely ignored, which is often quite annoying for readability.

 

I feel your pain, I went through the same palava for two months with the z3000 pro over the holiday season last christmas, but luckily futeko allowed me to send mine back for a refund even after the return window had closed. I could foresee the issues with this new generation of soc would be painful so I jumped on the opportunity to return and refund and downgraded to a z2000 pro, which actually feels like an upgrade now since I can actually watch a movie in peace! Going to skip this version of the soc entirely and wait for the next iteration before I upgrade next.

 

Why? I use recharg batteries and other than the remote being poorly made, they work ok.
