You're not the only one, I have the same problem with the remote control.

Samba server (or any other service that listens on the network) could be he culprit. Issues may only crop up when some external event arrives or when a service running on the box decides to make connections to other machines. Perhaps disabling wireless, disconnecting Ethernet cable and rebooting before testing again will help? If it does, then networking may be involved.

    Worth ruling in or out.

That was probably nothing, the next time I started the player it stuttered under these settings. Convert DV to HDR again, then it works.

Excuse me, but the developers should be able to see this after more than a month? That would be the easiest task in solving the problem.
If a colleague calls me and complains about a slow PC/laptop, the first thing I recommend is to start the Task Manager and check the CPU and RAM utilization.

I understand what you are saying, but, this is a relatively new SOC - do you know what the bus bandwith is? I don't.....PC's are very different beasts.

My primary display is a Sony A95L, with Z9X8k I have had stuttering, occasional audio drop outs with uhd backups as well as Webdl. Less of stuttering with forced cmv 4.0, but not play and forget like Z9x and Z9x Pro.

Re the Ram utilization/apps in background

I dont have the stutter issues

I have no Apps set to launch on startup
At startup my Task Killer is on 42 percent ,after Clean up ,its still on 42 percent
And Cache Cleaner was showing 0 percent

My 4k DV movies are all USB HDD direct to Z30 and most TV shows are SMB to a USB HDD on my Mesh Router or some 4k Series are direct USB HDD if not on the SMB

Also my Z30 8K has power completly removed at shutdown ,via a wifi power outlet the 12v PSU is plugged in to

I'm sure someone mentioned somewhere further back in this (or another) thread that outputting DV as HDR10 fixed their stuttering problem.
Well, because I was bored, I've gone and made this change and now all the problematic files I have play normally.

Sorry if it's daft question - when using a DAC, is there a button/shortcut on the remote to toggle between USB and HDMI sound out? If there is, could someone point me in the right direction. TIA.

I have to say, listening to War of the Worlds SACD via the dac connected to the CD input on my amp is a revelation!

I mentioned this recently. For me, that remains the solution until it is fixed. The HDR image even seems a bit brighter to me, or maybe I'm just imagining it.

We don't, but the developers must know this, they are also in contact with the chip manufacturer and have all the necessary tools and development environment.

Not my experience, unfortunately. The image looks noticeably less vivid to me.
Still, it's a working solution until the next FW rolls out...

    None
Think it autodetects .ie if im playing stereo sacd dsf files ,i just change to the analog input on my denon to get whats coming from the USB output ,to my Topping DAC ,it autodetects the DAC on the usb port
If i switch to playing MCH SACD dsf files , i then switch from the analog port on my Denon ,back to the HDMI port the Z30s connected to , making sure to turn off the Topping DAC so autodetect sees nothing on the USB port

Think you can also use the Zidoo App i saw someone post

Ok, cheers - will take a look at the app.

Update - perfect - the app indeed does have a source button.

[QUOTE="There is a problem with the remote control, that’s 100% for sure, I ordered a new Zidoo V12 remote control, but it works exactly the same as mine from the kit - when pressed, it always jumps over one line - always! To prevent this from happening, you need to press very slowly with pauses, otherwise the cursor always jumps over 1 line. You see, this problem only exists for me, because no one else complains about it, and I don’t have the problems that everyone else complains about))[/QUOTE]

I tested the same V12 remote on the UHD5000 and also on the UHD8000. On the UHD5000 it works without any problems, but on the UHD8000 it almost always jumps two commands with a single press. On the UHD5000 there is a setting to delay the response between presses (I set it to 1 second), while on the UHD8000 this setting is missing.

    I confirm.
The same V12 remote control works flawlessly on the UHD5000. Maybe that's why I feel the difference, because before the UHD8000 I used the UHD5000. Personally, this is what annoys me most about the new player
