v1.2.05, v1.2.05_G Beta version for Z9X 8K/Z30 PRO/Z3000 PRO/UHD8000

    my Z3000 pro is still on firmware 1.1. 70. Because I read everything about firmware updates after this and your experiences with this I wonder if it is possible and perhaps wise to provide future updates in different apk patches.
    What I mean by this is that if it turns out that a future firmware update works well I first have to update all firmware updates that clearly do not work well from 1.1. 70 to get a properly working device.
    This is because you apparently have to install all intermediate firmware updates and cannot skip any. So if Zidoo offers the upcoming firmware update in apk patches you can choose whether or not to install it.
    I hope you understand what I mean.

    No.. they are from a streaming service.. Tested with the Titanic Movie, for me always caused issues.. especially if I fast forward or reversed.. would get studder before it played normal, (works great now) like I said.. have not played around enough.
    Sure most of us will test over the weekend.

    Maybe it's a coincidence. Because compatibility mode was created to fix playback of non-standard TrueHD tracks. If it works on other files too, then I don't understand anything

    Yeah.. I could be wrong.. could also benefit playing better since I updated the Home theatre app?

    in HT5 go to the upper right corner..there is a settings panel..in which you can say ... use local art..

    I had the naming convention (fanart and poster for tv shows)
    For movie works but I can't get it to work for the series.

    Just got my z9x 8k, to swap my z9x for...
    Seeing a 1.2.05 update...I don't have beta checked...

    Wanted to check first.. safe to update, and should I select the beta box as well...also, any reason not to install the G version??
    I'll follow the best settings guide and such as well..
    (Just plugged it in an hour or 2 ago..)

    I decided to stay on 1.2.01 because people complain about stuttering in 1.2.05. Since you can't roll back, I don't want to risk updating.

    The HT patch that fixes TMDB can be used with 1.2.01, so at this stage I'm good and will keep it that way until a newer version is well tested (I'm talking about at least a few weeks) before I consider updating.

    Hi! Maybe you are right as I also enabled "Compatible Mode", but also yesterday I watched a movie and had no problem. So this means I have now no intention to test further with the various combinations as years ago I gave myself a very strict rule: "Once you'r good, don't change anything!!" :D :D

    Compatible Mode helps with TrueHD Atmos track, but for WEB-DL movie (Netflix) stutters remane in LLDV mode.

    I can't get sound Dolby, DTS 5.1 Surround from DVD-audio, PCM 5.1 on HDMI output.

    Just to point out that today marks 1 month since Zidoo released an update that completely ruined the Dolby Vision experience. 1 month later, everything remains the same. Have a good weekend.

    Unfortunately, there is growing confidence that Zidoo is already busy with another product and support for the current 8K line will remain at a minimal level.
