Hi Mark! How do I structure and name the TV series if I want to use my Posters and Fanarts?

    20250409_171759.jpg Hi,
I'm a new user of the Z30 PRO.
It updated automatically when I installed it to the latest online version v1.1.38.

But how can I get or upgrade to the latest (beta)versions v1.2.05...?

I'm kind of surprised, I thought the update would be here for this week end.

Hi Mark! As promised, yesterday evening I tried LLDV and stutter in DV was still there as with any other combination I had tried before.
But just by luck, I also found out something that may need further investigation: during the testing of LLDV I still hadn't switched on my audio HT system and once I switched on, there was no sound. Several play / stop, play / stop with different content and still no sound (and this although my audio processor was actually recognising the tracks).
As I have ARC / eARC set on the TV (to be able to listen to streaming Apps from my OLED with my HT), I checked what was going on with the TV and I needed to force HDMI audio on the TV to get sound back from the Zidoo playback (it usually never happens). Then I went to the audio advanced settings of the TV and all the options were obviously grayed out except for the "Audio Video Synchronization" one. My setting was at 0, but I found out there's also a "bypass" option (never noticed before). I decided to toggle the bypass option and from that moment stutter in DV disappeared!!!
But audio was slightly out of sync, so during the playback I entered the Zidoo options and moved the delay from -75ms I needed before back to 0. It was better but still not perfectly nailed. So I instead decided to use the main setting "compatibility mode" and after several testing with various audio codecs (I used the A/V sync patterns), giving a -40ms delay seems to workout good for my system.
I then finally watched an entire movie in DV (Heretic) and had no stutter and no out of sync, even after a pause. I will obviously need to do more testing with various combinations, but could it be HDMI CEC / ARC / eARC somehow messing things up with these new Amlogic Zidoos? Maybe Zidoo team could look into this?
This is the bypass setting I found out yesterday on my LG C4 OLED:

Interesting. I want to check if on the Panasonic there is a similar bypass setting and do some tests.

Ok - I'm not really sure what to make of that... I never use ARC or eARC because CEC is the work of the devil and should never be used ;)

But a quick pointer on compatibility mode - this was added a few firmwares back to combat an issue with some out of spec TrueHD soundtracks where overly dense audio keyframes cause packet overflow - unfortunately there is no help text in the UI to tell people this and I think everyone's forgotten what it does - so I think this option should be enabled by default - I've asked the devs about this and also asked for some help text so people know what it does.

Follow the same protocol as movies - sorry I can't show you an example because I don't use TV series.

Wait! Let me clarify! On Zidoo it's all off!! But I have it enabled on the TV (and obviously also on the audio processor) and it somehow interacts also with the Zidoo (sometimes when I switch it on, it also switches on my Yamaha processor, although it shouldn't.... rare, but it happens)... and this is why I'm supposing some messing could be involved and maybe should be investigated.
And all "this mess" doesn't happen with my olders Zidoos based on Realtek SoC.... so it's weird!

For some reason people have always complained about CEC still interacting, even when turned off on the Zidoo and also on Realtek models too - it's not something I've experienced - I have CEC off on all devices and have never seen any issues - I wonder if a CEC blocker would make a difference?

I understand you not using it anywhere (when I had projectors I never used it too). But with the TV if we want to have Dolby Atmos or DD+ from streaming Apps, we have no other choice: it needs to be enable on both TV and audio processor / receiver / soundbar. And this is how probably most of the people have there system setup... Now, could it be this that causes stutter problems a lot are complaining of? Yesterday evening I really started to think this could be the case as stuttering stopped. Was it just random good luck? I will do more testing... but this is my point! ;)

I already have that set on Bypass and I get DV stutter.

I honestly don't think so - I've seen it with TV Led DV and I've seen it in LLDV on two different setups, neither using ARC.

But it's rare - as an example, I often run a movie while on the forum or fiddling about with other stuff, just as background - I put Wall-E on the other day, as I have on many occasions and immediately saw stuttering - I left it for a while and it carried on, I stopped and started the movie and it disappeared and I haven't seen it since.

So far I've seen it on 4 movies, all DV Profile 7 and either played in TV Led or LLDV, but it's a bit like the stutter we had with the Z9X Pro - it happens rarely - at least for me - and is never reproducible.

I do however think that a lot of problems may be caused by Compatible Mode being switched off and that may be muddying the waters.

Made all ll the updates to the 1 2.05 and all works perfectly.
Even the glitches on some movies are gone.

I was one who went back to my 4K Z9X when I started getting stuttering playback. Seeing as I had some free time thought I'd update everything and give it a whirl.

Took me half an hour to get my BT keyboard to pair, which sums it up. 4K playback which was fine on my 4K half an hour before was stuttering away, wouldn't even play a BD remux properly.

Could anyone share their tips and fixes if they have been able to get their former shaky 8K up and running?

Otherwise I'll have to see about returning it to futeko as it's unusable.

Hi Mark! A quick question on how to get zidoo to use my Posters and Fanarts for Tv Shows.

Well..well.. don't know if its just a one off, I never had this switched on in the audio settings.. I have a TV series Wheel Of Time (DV) that always caused me video studder, especially cinematic panning shots, once I turned Compatibility mode on.. these shots play smooth. Will play around more with it over the weekend.
