The issue happened to me in previous RTD boxes like a workaround. Actually it happened twice around the year. It seems like a kinda SMB file corruption.

So far I have watched DV + Atmos/Thd movies, DV + DTS HD MA, DV + DTS HD HR and DV + DD with the LED Passthrough Auto TV setting and I have not seen stuttering. I don't know if it can be indicative for video playback purposes, but every night I remove the current to the whole home theater system.

It gives the impression that you alone take care of all the problems. What is the army of developers actually doing at Zidoo? Are they already working on a new SOC, a new series, and this is already being neglected?

Let them spit on me, but I am almost sure that Zidoo engineers are already busy working on a new, more promising chip. As for the AML S928X, I would rate the engineers' work for the last four months as marking time. When I bought the Z9X at the start, firmware was released several times a month with many (25-35) fixes.
I expected the same approach (I think I'm not the only one) when the Z9X was replaced by the Z30Pro

Achilles's heel of these boxes always remain the VC-1 videos and I don't think it will ever be resolved. I really don't feel like doing it but I am forced to convert all my VC-1 to H.264.:(

I seriously do not understand why members, particularly new ones don't read and search before posting.

Ok, got it and can see the stuttering - need to do a bit of testing to satisfy myself other players, particularly Dune, handle it ok, and I can get the devs to replicate.

Yes, I remember the file now - I think it originally came from @Sledgehamma to test TV led Stuttering, but as you say, it does it on LLDV too now.

Also will remux another audio track to it because this may be down to the THD track as well. Doubt it, but got to test.

And I'll remove DV from the to be sure it's not the base encode causing it.

After January updates I had no problems with VC-1, after the last update I haven't watched any VC-1 films yet.

How do I enable the alphabet selector in the music player?
It's so handy in the video player.

In my case from the first firmware up to 1.1.70 (excluding the 1.1.80 disastrous) the VC-1 videos had the audio outside Sync of at least 2 seconds. Instead with the update 1.2.01 and 1.2.05 the audio in sync but the video has evident stuttering.

A post a chap made in this thread...anyways, all I was asking was is it possible to rule out that some of the music services aren't polling in the background that might effect stability of video playback.

Well I see a new firmware so got my 8000 back out of the box and moved out my zappiti signature again done the new update for the zidoo 8000 and a factory reset after updating to v1.2.05 and guess what
    Stuttering video
    Truehd atmos audio dropouts
    Dark screen on movie posters
    DTS out of sync still
Movie poster wall flickering while it’s filling in thumbnails
When forwarding or rewinding with wheel sound goes off have to stop and start the file again
Unit freezing up have to switch off at the back
Second remote control now when pressing button it jumps two positions instead of one
So back in the box it goes and my flawless zappiti signature back in its place once again
    What have I bought ?

With the current firmware, as well as the previous 1.2.01, VC-1 movies seem to experience micro-stutters every 10-30 seconds. This can be seen, for example, in the 2012 Blu-ray version of "Terminator 2 Director's Cut."

Furthermore, I'm still waiting for a feature on the older Zidoo players that allows you to set a pause of several seconds when changing frame rates. Has there been any progress on this @Markswift2003 ?
