Ok, I can confirm seeing stutters in LLDV today but I need a way to replicate it - can you give me details of that LOTR clip you're talking about above and the timecode. Ideally a clip of the file you're so I know it's the same copy of the movie.

I played the Nosferatu DV blu-ray rip again. In lldv.
Stuttering is ways less. I saw a few small ones. I have the info on screen and the stutter was at lower bitrate. It was way less and extreme compared to tv-led or automatic.

    I did the requested tests...
I turned on my zidoo (it had been stopped since yesterday 23:00), it rebooted 2 times and I don't know why....And now I can delete my files and folders without any problem through the zidoo explorer or through SMB...
I'm very confused... what happened?? mystery

I'm currently testing all manner of sources - HDR10, DV, THD Atmos, DTS-HD to see what the common denominator is. Yes, it seems to be DV, but I'm not ruling anything out at this point.

It feels like a buffer overflow, but I have no evidence to support that.

Probably some corruption in the file system when that original folder was created or accessed. You'll probably never find out and it'll probably never happen again...

I was thinking buffer overflow, because I had 1h of no stuttering and then it started.
I also thought I saw sound sync problem after the stutter. ( I have always a delay set)

It's annoying because we never had any of these issues in the early days...

True..and such hard to replicate problem.
It happens..but you never know when...outside it pointing to DV.

    As from someone above
Do you have frame rate and resolution ON ?
I have it off for both nd have no stutter issues

Someone above was having audio delay till they turned it OFF (this f/w turned it on for them ,and for me )

No, definitely nothing to do with this issue.

Frame Rate on, Resolution off is my usual modus operendi - but in testing I have everything at default - HDR, Resolution and frame rate etc, all on auto.

    But you should

    NEVER

    EVER

    turn auto framerate off.

    That's just stupid.

@Markswift2003 , the LOTR clip was not from you I think but anyway I just put it on my google drive so here it is:

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1euMfk068bIWzzUk_LLK1KNOozkiszk4U/view?usp=sharing

Also, tested some tips from cucnz and others:

Passthrough compatible was off because there's no point to put it on but I put it on with 0 ms to test and it didn't change anything, still stuttering.

I switched off match res and framerate and put my tv to 23.976 and 24 and it didn't change anything, stuttering still there.

The DTS-HD out of sync still remains even if I turn off match framerate and resolution.

Be careful because when I turn off match framerate and put the Z9X 8K to 23.976 after a couple movies it will return to 24Hz and 23.976 movies will play at 24Hz and that's no good.

You can't turn off match framerate anyway, that's the whole point of these players and I have all sorts of framerates in my files not just 24p.

Twister in HDR10 and Atmos/TrueHD plays fine.

DV is definitely necessary for the stutters to happen but DV + DTS-HD does not seems to stutter at all for me. I've yet to see it at least. But Atmos/DD+ and Atmos/TrueHD does.

I wonder if the fact that DTS is out of sync for me explains why I don't have stutters with DTS-HD MA DV files. Probably just a coincidence... the devs never did explain what they did to make TrueHD in sync when it magically happened at some point because at the beginning both TrueHD and DTS were out of sync.

It's frustrating you can't reproduce it easily, for me it's so easy...

I have had several models of both zidoo and dune over the years. This one is a let down in the issues being so obtrusive to just enjoying a video.

I just watched....wait .... better I just tried to watch "The Recruit" in 2160p with DV/DD+, it was actually a mess. I wouldn't call it "stuttering", what I noticed were picture errors occurring at irregular intervals, sometimes in quick succession, sometimes lasting another 20 seconds. My wife said she couldn't do that to herself and we stopped playback. Btw: no matter whether via TV LED activated oder LLDV. Same issues apperared, I wouldn't say that there were fewer image errors with LLDV as sum1 mentioned b4.

    @Markswift2003 - Hey Mark, I've said I think it could be a memory allocation/mem cache/I/O issue...

Just thinking outloud about the chap that disconnected the net after unplugging - what might be happening with DNLA aspect of the music side of the box? is it always on? Are some of the music functions polling in the background?

    Worth looking at maybe?

    Eversolo's only do one thing......just a thought.

The worst part is at the beginning with the fire moving all over the screen.

kinda hard to call it at that start point ,most things will stutter slightly in first sec or so of starting

I was expecting stutter to show ,more when there was all the massed armies ,especially while moving , but smooth as each time ,for me

I even just re tried it again after a full shutdown of everything ,and went and turned AutoFramerate back on ,just to see if thats why i get no issues ,and still none

That fire is more than 1 second and no I don't get stutters at beginning of file playback on Z9X 8K on my side... it stutters later too but easy to see it in the fire... you can go back to the beginning also with the scan bar to test the beginning without an HDMI sync.

You clearly don't have the problem.

since this f/w released, One day there is smooth playback and other day is worse. Whether It's LLDV , TV LED , Auto Passthrough or CMv4. I have oversharpness in DV. HDR 10 is not smooth and glitchy
