So far till now watched a lot of content (me or my wife) without major problems. One great shutter but no resyncs.

On the other hand yesterday in music player a lot of black screens and audio drops (like resyncs) for 1-2 seconds. FLAC files. Listened music the last days also but without any problems, and 2 3 hours sessions.

It's very strange and don't understand why resyncs/hdmi problems/hdmi lost in music player. This behaviour is a solid ENIGMA!!!

 

at 422 12 bist, desynchronizations and freezes continue

 

I have also been very happy with the video file playback performance, but on the audio side (which I believe should be much simpler from a firmware perspective), I have been facing stuttering with basic M4A files (Atmos) - something has changed on the audio side after 1.1.70, since this was not happening before.

 

Minor bug report while pressing info button:

@Markswift2003 did the devs succed In replicate the black screen 1/2 seconds audio still on?

Today a TV show made me crazy. Black screen aprox at every minute. Couldn't watch the show in this condition. Restarted only the zidoo device several times. Black screen continued to appear and after a while disappeared. The files were x264 1080p DD 5.1 23.976. Output settings for zidoo 4k@23.976 422 12bit VS10 SDR. The file was THE TUDORS S02 1080P BLURAY X264 DD5.1 NOGRP [RARTV]

 

Same here. Approx once per movie. Can be a freezed image or a full-pixelized image but with sound continuing. A double click on left arrow and let’s continue to watch the movie. Not that boring when you know it will be corrected soon (keeping faith)

In this firmware they didn't fix it, they added it (everything is ok for me). We expect more surprises in the next one

ie
No stutters on DV or hdr or sdr
No instances of the Video pause/Audio continue
No audio delay issues

ie ive watched Kill Bill 1 and 2 Complete DV and a few others ,plus ive been watching DV TV epis like Silo , The Agency Plus full bluray rip TV epis like Haven plus 10 plus other weeklys

Could it be something silly like a batch of non conforming HDMI port parts ,so only those with boxes made with that batch get the issues ....an issue which if not figured out ,can make it very hard to Test for issues back at the Labs ,unless they have one of the"flty" hdmi ports too
and yes that can be a thing . We used to see it when i was working in NZ Telecom ,on different manufacturers PABX systems
Plus as we know ,some of the early HDMI2.1 ports had performance issues IE Denon had to create an HDMI 2.1 interface box on the x700H range to fix the issue,That or recall and repair all those recievers (I grabbed one for my 3700H )

 

If it were a hardware issue (if that is what you are saying) wouldn't it have appeared before the last FW update?

 

Just watched the concert film Stop Making Sense on my 3000 pro with the latest fw and there were plenty of audio dropouts with the Atmos track. They are generally able to be replicated in the same spot if I start from the beginning of a chapter. When I play the same mkv with my CXUHD in the same chain I don't get a single audio dropout. Will maybe try the same file on my z9x 8k upstairs, but am getting pretty tired of testing at this point.

Edit: So my z9x 8k was running 1.1.70 and I was not able to replicate the Atmos dropout issue with this mkv. I then updated to the latest firmware and it immediately started happening. It appears we are going backwards....

 

I believe its a power issue of sorts, rendering the 928x chipset in a different state of function each time the player is turned on.

The audio stutters/dropouts experienced with playback of any Dolby Vision content are not consistent day 2 day but what is consistent (at least for me) are the same symptoms since 1.1.60 fw.

 

For a few people those issues have been occurring from day 1 ,pretty much

Ive had the Pause/Continue bug ,for the 3 ? previous f/ws but not on this f/w at all and none of the other main bugs ,from day 1

I still get the occasional EDID loss bug from previous model range ,even with custom EDID set ,but its ultra rare
Only other issue i see daily is ,when having watched a couple tv epis ,and then pausing in the smb /Folder section ,if i walk away to make a coffee ,or check stuff on PC , it will have reverted back to home screen
