Now I have also tried with my other TV LG C8 exactly the same issues there so it's not the TV. It is the player. I'm thinking about making a YouTube video warning people not to buy the unit right now. I don't think the manufacturer is aware of the damage they're doing to the company releasing this product. it is absolutely not ready for the market. I am not against Zidoo, but this should not be happening. I think they need to rethink and re-strategize because this is not good at all. People are expecting a product that at least works when watching movies it doesn't need to do anything else no YouTube no Amazon no Disney nothing else and it cannot do it. This will cause a lot of damage to the company.

1 possibly bad unit from the hundreds/thousands sold wont have any real effect

if you think your units defective ,send it back under warranty

Rest of us are happily using very well functioning ones

    Hello,
I just watched your file, I did not have any issue with it, both video and audio.
    My normal setup is:
    1. Video: UHD8000 main HDMI video - Marantz NR1200 in OFF condition - LG Oled 55C9;
    2. Audio: UHD8000 secondary HDMI audio - Samsung soundbar N950.

I also tried UHD8000 main HDMI audio+video - Marantz NR1200 in OFF condition - LG Oled 55C9 - audio out to HDMI 2 (eArc) - Samsung soundbar N950. The movie also played without any issue.

The error cucnz is talking about is random. If you rewind, the problem will not repeat. So far, it has not been possible to identify a pattern, under what settings and with what files this error appears. Sorry for the bad English, I use Google Translate

Basically the majority of my movies and series play very well (no stuttering), but as Rockmeloman just indicated I also encounter
at Random that the picture stops but the sounds continues.
In order to get the picture working again I fast forwarded a little bit and the picture continued with sound in sync.
So there is certainly a Bug that is responsible for this kind of behavior, trust a future firmware release will solve this.

To the people that have the video pause but sound continues bug - is it while played Dolby Vison/VS10?

    Yes

dolby vision , but without vs10.
Atleast i use tvlead. Not sure if vs10 does anything then

Tv epi was sdr so VS10 ....only happened twice, on conseq episodes
Had it happen on 2 movies ,so either DV or VS10 since i have vs10 for everything but DV

Havent had that or the same thing but after a 5-10 min pause( so SS activates) since i deleted the 3 x 1080p SS images and replaced with all 2160p ,so my native display and UI setting )
Some people might not see it because their UI was set at sdr ? maybe

Seems like all DV or VS10. I also get a situation where I get blank screen\sound cut outs that last a few seconds. If I don't stop\restart it will keep happening every few minutes.

I had this issue in the last 5 days 3 times, too. It came all of a sudden, I never had such probs b4 with the z9x 8k. Absolutely not reproducable. The movie "pic-"freezes and sound continues (1) or stops playing (2), both audio-scenarios appear. On scenario 1 the video does not come back and I have to reboot the device, on scenario 2 after approx. 5 secs both video and audio continue...in sync.
What really makes me nervous that this behaviour never occured with any of my 4 z9s with the same setup. Really strange things and for sure it won't be that easy to identify this bug.

Important: what I do NOT know is whether scenario 1 only appears while playing DV videos, but assuming this COULD be right. (DV settings: TVLED, no VS10 at all --> Auto), scenario 2 appears definitely NOT ONLY while playing DV files.
I write this because I remember one previous post that described a connection between scenario 1 and DV movies.

    Setup:
NAS via Wifi6 connection (zidoo is connecred to a repeater via cable) in the same room. I am sure this is no speed prob, transfer rates of 150mbit and more has been tested and verified. No Wifi issues cuz I am the only 5Ghz user on channel 36. Besides my mkvs often has just 30mbit in peak.
    Z9X 8k --> Pioneer VSX 835 --> LG OLED 83C1
Hdmi cables are certified 2.1 ones
    Files are not corrupt.

As a result I don't have the slightest clue why this is happening...

I recently tried this and using custom EDID improved color and PQ by 85%, but it’s not perfect.

The new firmware made Dolby Vision better, but HDR and SDR looked better in the previous firmware, in my opinion.

I confirm that using Zidoo 3000’s second HDMI as a sound effects picture quality source causes noise in the picture and around moving objects.

Hi, regarding your setup is Philips hue 8K Sync Box work with Dolby Vision TV LED output instead of LLDV?

In my case I was waching this file when the picture stopped but the sound continued.

It is not DV, it's a stereo sound track which I play via my Marantz Receiver and Soundmode Set to Dolby Surround ensuring the Stereo Sound tack is reproduced over my all my speakers.

Format H265 MKV Video Resolution 1280*720 (23,976 fps)

    Audio ACC 2.0

    Output mode 3840x2160p@24Hz Yuv444 10 Bits SDR

I am also unable to reproduce this, it happens at random, but it might have something to
do with the time that the Zidoo is operating?

What is the usual time between beta and full firmware upgrade?

As far as I know the Zidoo's are always on beta firmware but someone can correct me.

It's always been the nature of such devices that that yes, they're always effectively in beta - development carries on until the next generation and so it goes on.

I know that annoys some people, but if that's the case, just buy a Sony Bluray player with a couple of firmware releases during its entire lifetime and be happy with it.

To be fair, we should just drop the "beta" label because it seems to scare people off - when firmwares are made publicly available, they are "public" betas and rarely (I can only remember one case a few years ago) unstable.

I just asked so i could know if i should update to this beta firmware or wait until its official. Do people usually update to beta?
