If i replace an ISO file from 1080p rip to 4k rip with the same name, does the power wall auto refresh to show it's a 4k in meta data, or do i have to manually edit the data to show 4k? I want to be able group my 4k movies in a separate collection.

Unless the name of the file changes, no - Just press the refresh button (top right) in the "More" screen on the Info page.

The slow SAMBA is VERY ANNOYING! I tend to put the picture on pause quite a lot. Was not an issue with previous realtek models but the Z3000 pro, when paused, loses sync and starts to stutter or play at slowed speed. I have to stop and restart the video to get it back to normal.

I agree, it's bad. My TV is not OLED. I completely disabled the splash screen after pressing the "pause" button and after continuing playback, desynchronization does not occur. Such solutions are called "crutches", it should not be like that

Thanks for the advice, i did check all drives in my nas and everything was fine... sadly.... i tried changing the folder sharing file system i changed from smb to nfs 4.1 . i did another factory reset on the zidoo uhd 8000 it didn't work... tested the speed on the nas over the network with a wired computer and everything is fine... no repeted IP adresses.. zidoo uhd 8000 is pausing and replaying... stuttering.... i got borrowed an rvolution player one 8k... everything is working fine..

after several test on the ziddo i guess is something related with drivers on the latest firmware related with the network adapter unit or the power optimizations with the HT 5 app...

Is there a way to re flash the unit with the previus firmware version? just to make sure that i have the same fail with the 1.6 version, right now i'm 1.7

Just had a TV epi play till around 15 mins then video stopped but audio kept running (i had already watched 3 other tv epis prior to this, all ok )
Pause then play didnt fix the issue
    Couldnt bring up Info screen
Slide back a min or so then hit ok and epi continued normal playback

here a link to the file Pilot episode for Sleepy Hollow ,if you want to test it

Really not sure what's happening there other than network shenanigans.

I know there's a lot of talk about network speeds here and in the Dune threads but I've never bothered to test my network speed because I've never had the need, and certainly haven't seen this problem after pause.

Is it after a long period of pause or a couple of seconds or both?

    Testing...

When you say video stopped - do you mean freeze frame or black screen?

I've had this but it appears to be random. Turn video off then back on and it will play past the place where the video paused without an issue.

Well, typically it played right the way through with no problem - so at least we know it's not a file problem.

Seem to remember it doesn't play multi channel DTS WAV but will play DTS FLAC.

    1. The player can't handle a large file with a large number of audio tracks. 5-6 seconds of playback, then the file freezes for about 10 seconds and so on in a circle (Mediainfo)
    2. The second file periodically (after 15-20 minutes) slows down. The file bitrate is about 100 Mbit, but this shouldn't be a problem for such a powerful processor, should it? (BDInfo)

    1. These boxes have no issue with large files and the number of audio tracks is irrelevant. Look no further than the file. One word. Hybrid.

    2. 100Mbps is not a problem. Although this SOC will struggle at 400Mbps, it will happily play 200-300Mbps - try the 200Mpbs 4K Jellyfish file - that tops out just over 300Mbps.

What exactly is the problem with the hybrid? It's just metadata HDR10+ taken from another source (WEB-DL ATV 2160p). The video stream itself hasn't been modified in any way.

P.S. Got feedback on file #1 where it was downloaded. Dune Pro 4K Plus II and Zidoo Z9X Pro handle this file without problems.

Short video stream - maybe. But will the player be able to play a high-bitrate video that is an hour or more long? Has anyone tried it?

P.P.S. I can transfer (distribute) this file via torrent for testing

Seems to happen more after playing other things, exiting back to menu with back key ,then starting a new vid,if that helps, but yeah the bug is very random
With the pro , the same thing can happen most times ,when sliding forward a few secs , specially a shorter slide forward ,longer time slides seem less prone to it
