The app crash on start seems to be fixed, actually.
However, when I open any of the media libraries at the top, I still see this weired empty screens:

Don't take what I write here personally. I know that you are actively involved in the development and it is largely thanks to you that the final product is what we see now. The player is not bad. For my not very good TV (insufficient maximum brightness) it produces a picture that I like much more than the one on the Z9X. Personally, for me at the moment there are two significant problems: 1. Reduced transfer speed via SAMBA. 2. Periodic (approximately 1 file out of 10) freezing of the picture, while the sound continues to play. You need to restart the file. This did not happen on the Z9X with the same equipment. At the same time, it is not possible to identify any pattern that causes this problem. There was also a problem with loading the player, but I switched the player to another socket and did a factory reset and so far the problem has not recurred

Hello. After accidentally updating to version 1.1.70 beta audio HDMI only has 2.0 16bit 48kHz... No Atmos, DTS-X, DD,. Restoring factory settings did not help. Connecting directly to the TV didn't help either. Help

this happens on every zidoo product intermittently after a new f/w ,usually fixed a f/w release or 3 ,then back to lower speeds..you get used to it after 10 yrs plus and 4 model ranges :p

    2. a few ppl have had this randomness occur and reported it so far, on the .70 thread
Its similar to the one ive reported ,where pause playback for 5 mins say ,come back ,push ok to start play again and audio will play normally ,but video will be at say 1/4 to 1/2 speed
doesn't rectify it self until i stop vid or slide along the timeline (see this bug on the Pro range too occassionaly ,in the bedroom ,thou thats more like your issue ,vid paused while audio tracks on at normal speed)

It's got to be server related.

I don't do anything clever, I just have the server running on an old PC with 8 different NAS drives as sources.

These sources are mapped correctly in the client and it just works.

I'm know people get fed fed up of me saying "I don't have that problem" but in the vast majority of issues people have I genuinely don't have the same problem.

As with the Jellyfin problem above, it's not like I do anything clever - I simply have a well structured LAN (2 subnets & approx 120 Clients on it) and good (but not expensive) cabling.

Most issues are down to environment and setup, neither of which I can either influence or replicate.

But I always tell people if I don't have the same problem or am unable to replicate it because it kind of proves that if you get the environment & setup right it just works.

Yes there are bugs, and I have a list as long as my arm in with the devs at the moment, but none of them are show stoppers and none of them stop me watching a good movie in the cinema of an evening without any interruptions - believe me, if they did, the box (UHD8000) wouldn't be in there!

just a note ive been using internal ssd [ to read & write ] in 4 x seperate boxes for circa 7 years plus and never experienced loss off connection.

one issue was one needed to be defragged as such .

Check your HDMI decode setting in Settings/Audio.

Just a thought - you have got all the libraries mapped haven't you?

No, my video stops right during viewing. The sound continues to play.

If the sound continues, the file is still playing. This is where HDFury devices are invaluable because you can see what's happening to the video signal.

I think the only way this is going to get any traction is sending a debug log immediately after it happens.
