I’ve got some connecting issues with my old Z9X and Synology NAS. It was solved deleting all credentials and trying several ways. But no issues with my Z9X8K so far.

Simply it can’t find the network ip and after several tries and switching on/off both devices, it found it. Maybe others touch-up but I can’t remember after 3 years.

It is best have to have a static IP for the NAS and Zidoo.
If I use dynamic ip's the conection get lost once in a while

Absolutely right! You never want to rely on the vagaries of DHCP with client/server setups.

Well it's a little early to bring out the cake but deleting the database and starting from fresh, I haven't had any crashes in 48 hours, and it was crashing every 2 to 3 minutes so fingers crossed.

That's kind of how it goes normally - I've got a Z9X 8K on test pretty much 24/7 and an 8000 in my cinema, and as I've said a thousand times, if kit so much as sniffs in the wrong direction in there, it doesn't stay!

Don't get me wrong - I've had dirty databases before, but it's usually my own fault for hammering the hell out of them - never seen one corrupt on a firmware update.

The 8000 is such a beautiful piece of hardware, I wish I had the cash and could justify it over the 3000 pro just because it would look so pretty on my av rack lol.

    Damn right!

Not having the cash is understandable, but justification is easy ;)

    Dear Markswift.
I sold my UHD5000 and decided to buy 8000, although I was dissuaded))
My purely personal IMHO - the picture on the Samsung S90C is different, I really like it. In the 4K settings, I set 422 12, everything is great!!! The only question for you: should I enable or not AI image processing? I have not tried to enable it (it is disabled by default)
For a long time I could not figure out how to update over the air, until I checked the box to install beta))
And there is also an item in the settings that you do not write about. HDCP is disabled by default, I enabled it. What does it affect, what is it for?

For some reason the forum has translated this from English into Russian! My email notification was in English and is as follows

My new Z9X 8K is running 1.1.47. I see this is beta 1.1.60. Just wondering what's the LTS firmware release cadence is? What happened to version between 1.1.47 - 1.1.59? Thank you.

The builds greater than 1.1.47 and less than 1.1.60 will be internal test builds not intended for public consumption.

Sorry - didn't see this - Yes, I have a Samsung as well and I really like them. Also have a Sony, but I prefer the Samsung, and it's not a particularly expensive one.

You can try AI if you like but my advice is leave all that sort of thing switched off - I don't think there's any need at all to pile on the processing.

HDCP is copy protection and since we're playing ripped content here, not really of relevance - not really sure why it's there...

i got sony Oled. Turning on HDCP might give you better picture for a while but after couple of days your picture may get oversharped. But it happens after some days. Better do factory reset and leave everything as it is color HDMI should be enhanced.

HDCP has nothing to do with the picture. It's copy protection.

Back from a couple of weeks holiday, my Z30 Pro is still showing as v1.1.47 and no v1.1.60 available - receive beta version is ticked, have hard rebooted etc.

Any advice, or is there a mirror somewhere I can download it from?
