Hey just wondering if installing xapk files is possible over the :18888 web interface? or can be made possible? Doesn't work off a usb either.

I don't know of any plans to support XAPK files - I kind of doubt it. An XAPK installer should work although I'd never recommend installing third party apps.

I have exactly the same problem as "Stanleh", and this since the transition from HT4 to HT5, I did several factory resets, I completely redid after saving my cover system................and since then slight improvement: the covers disappear less often and come back more quickly!!!!
    But it remains relatively "annoying"!!!

Is this while HT is running or when it starts?

Does it crash back to the main Zidoo UI?

If you go into "Sources" have they completely gone or are they still there and it says "invalid"?

sometimes completely disappeared and come back after 20/30s and sometimes certain sources are marked "invalid" and come back the same after 20/30s!

Really don't know what's going on there if a factory reset doesn't clear it unless you're restoring a currupt database which I don't think you are.

If you factory restore and rescrape HT from scratch and still get those same issues then the problem has to be triggered by an external event because HT doesn't behave like that on its own.

The fact you say "sometimes certain sources are marked "invalid" and come back the same after 20/30s!" means that the Sources are not accessible at that point in time but are still defined in the database.

But you also say "sometimes completely disappeared" which means at that point they are not even defined in the database as it's read which points to database corruption.

You're not using a Synology NAS are you?

Yes, yes of course: 1 Synology and an Asustor!

I've never used Synology so will not cast aspersions, but more often than not when we get freaky network behaviour, a Synology is involved. That's been the case for years.

It sounds like it drops off the network, especially the "invalid" bit - as I say, that simply means that the Zidoo cannot locate the Source at that particular time - sleep mode maybe?

My NAS drives sleep when not in use, but it's only the drives themselves that are spun down so the NAS and hence the Zidoo "source" is always there.

Yes, it’s true that these are perhaps the best-selling brand.
No sleep mode, except hard drives which go to sleep by themselves!
What brand of NAS do you use?

I use a Synology NAS and have zero issues. A few years ago I did have an issue where a random source would just go invalid and not come back. To fix i needed to access the drive via media center and it woould reconnect.

No issues for a long time. Are you on latest software for your NAS?

    Of course !

I also have a Synology nas but it worked perfectly on the previous version of HT for years and on both my Zapitti and Rvolution players so I really don't think it's fair to blame that.

Maybe we can compare settings and see if we can find something, What hard drives have you got installed in your NAS?

When will the next firmware come out? In this firmware, I have worse HDR, and SDR playback is far from smooth. The only improvement I’ve seen is in Dolby Vision, but there are still some jitters.

    Hi,
I don't think it has to do with the internal "DDs", but on my Synology I have two 8TB, and hard drives on USB sockets on the Synology!!!

I have same set up - smaller internal hard drives and also two USB connected drives.
