is that delay going to becapplied to all audio formats because it probably won’t sync correctly on non truehd/dts format … will test.

 

It worked when I tested here. Seems to apply when it's needed...

Hopefully the VC1 fix comes to the UHD5000 soon. I have quiet a few of those files and they all play jerky after pausing.

Is it true non fake tv led like Dune implemented? I think it means the tv will actually do the DV tone mapping now versus just receiving an already tone mapped data in tv led mode (aka fake)?

It passes the metadata to the TV to process but you have to be careful - so called "fake" TV Led DV is not fake at all and has advantages for older TVs, a point missed by the evangelists who tout its inefficacy.

But you now have the choice.

That’s not the problem people like me have though where it’s out of sync even if I just start playback and don’t seek in the file.

 

Does the new setting fix it?

 

I don't really care because I don't download any apps from the Playstore, but I'm curious how it was possible, since it was said that you couldn't go from a "G" version to a non-"G" version. I also still have the Google Chrome app installed, which is also strange.

 

Did Zidoo do something else because my first tests with aquaman all seems synced WITHOUT using the new compatibility mode? More tests needed to confirm this.

Don't know, but that's interesting...

 

Rough guide - if your TV was made after 2021 then try Bypass Auto, if it was made before, use TV Led.

I doubt anyone will see any difference, but the original TV Led is probably the safest because that supports everything whereas Bypass is restricted to the TV's capabilities.

If you post your EDID I can tell you for sure.

 

Ok, all clear. I have a 2023 LG Oled C3 TV. I have attached my edid anyway

 

Aquaman 2, aliens, expendables 4, ghost of mars seems all correctly synced now and I am not using the passthrough compatibility audio delay option. That’s awesome but why? Maybe they fixed something else because I tried restarting the z9x 8k before and it never fixed the a/v sync issue.

Just to be sure it’s not me going crazy I will wait for others to confirm this or not.

 

Haha! I wondered where it had gone. I initially added it back, thinking I'd deleted it accidently, when editing the post. I've deleted it again - thanks for your advice

Please confirm a bug I never reported before and then add it to your bugfix list for next fw:

- start a movie
- Seek in the movie using left or right arrows
- Before the blue bar disappears skip chapters

The position on the blue bar does not update it’s position for me on the chapter skip. So if I follow the chapter skip with a left or right arrow again it will not be at the correct position and take me back at the last position before the chapter skips since the bar stayed there.

if you pop up the blue bar without actually seeking with left or right arrow and directly do a chapter skip the blue bar follows the chapter skip correctly.
