I'm running out of ideas I'm afraid.

What happens if you set

"DV Content Output Mode" to "HDR"

 

Just tried and nothing changes, same exact problem. The TV goes into HDR but the strange thing is that the VS10 Dolby Vision logo appears on the top left, is this normal?

 

There is a known problem for several users on a Spanish forum and we discovered that if you mix yub420/422 with yub 444 sometimes the movie runs at 60 frames. Solution leave everything at yub 444 or yub 422 and then everything works correctly. It seems that when using movie menus that run at 60 frames in yub 420, then when it has to make the change to yub 444 23/24 frames it does not do it correctly.

I just got the Z3000 Pro and updated it. I watch all my movies off an internal hard drive. So far I've noticed that it doesn't rewind the video with the down arrow when the up and down are set to fast forward or rewind. I set the bookmark for the beginning to 5 minutes and the unit ignores it, if I stop a video before the 5 min it displays a watched time and when it's after the 5 minutes I can't hit left to restart the video from the beginning when the overhead text appears.

Can you add a delay to start the video when the resolution and frame setting is set to match the video in the next update, like you had on the Z1000 Pro? There also used to be a task view on the old units, can that be added back also?

Also, I was playing around in the advanced settings and found how to put the unit into developer mode but it doesn't seem to add any developer menu anywhere. Can it be turned off if I want/does it even matter?

 

I add that it is not from this last update, it has been happening since the first updates.

 

Ok, so that's really weird.

And I mean REALLY weird.

So that means the problem is nothing to do with Dolby Vision since the Zidoo output is HDR10. The amp/TV etc doesn't know about VS10 - all they see is the HDR mode - in this case, HDR10.

The VS10 Dolby Vision logo will only appear if VS10 is being used to convert, so I assume this is Profile 5 Dolby Vision rather than Profile 7.

If it was Profile 7, as long as VS10 is off for DV content, if DV is set to output HDR10 it will just use the HDR10 base layer so VS10 does not get called.

 

re match and delete would do it also ( well in that menu at least)

 

I tried another movie, Dune Part Two, and setting "DV Content Output Mode" to "HDR", the TV goes into HDR10, the VS10 Dolby Vision logo no longer appears at the top left, the problem disappears and the audio is perfect. If I set "DV Content Output Mode" to "Dolby Vision" instead, the problem reoccurs and the audio skips continuously. So as I have already said several times, the problem is unfortunately only with Dolby Vision movies. Just for information, the audio codec of Dune Part Two is Dolby TrueHD. After that I did another test, I activated the audio in the main HDMI port of the zidoo and sent everything to the TV using eARC, the problem disappears and everything works fine and the audio no longer stutters. Since my Denon is old and does not have eARC input, I bought this device to simulate eARC and everything works fine but I absolutely do not want to use this solution, it was just to try

hello, I'm coming back to the problem with deleting the movie after watching it, will it be possible to implement in the future the option that when we delete, it will be deleted along with the folder and the other files in the folder with the respective movie lca and in kodi?
it would be great, so that after watching there would be no leftovers left behind, and it would be ideal that when the movie ends, we would have an active option to ask us in a window if we keep or delete, something implemented in kodi through elementum or clean remover addon
Personally, I like Home Theater a lot and I wanted to give up kodi

 

I would like to add that I would hope this pop up window if added would be engaged only if chosen via an option in the menu. I'm sure that goes without saying, but most of us would not want that obviously.

 

This is one reason I only give my smb user read rights. Zidoo couldn't delete the files on my NAS if it tried to

 

Ya I guess I could do the same. I do have double backups of everything, one of which is kept off site at work, so my thought was more just that I would hate to have to see and answer a pop up after each movie asking if I want to delete the file. I would imagine that's a pretty rare use case, so I highly doubt they'd force an option like that without an option to hide it, but thought I'd add my 2 cents regardless.

I'm still facing a problem how to choose when scanning series with several seasons because it doesn't put all the episodes in the same place...

 

Use something like tiny media manager . It can make life eassier

 

Does anyone have any problems with the poster wall crashing and having to reload or the thumbnails taking forever to load (normally they are almost instant)

I have the UHD 3000 Pro

I have just skimmed through this post and I couldn't see any mention of it.

 

Anytime my hard drives plugged into the z9x go to sleep, Posterwall stops responding and crashes. Say I'm watching a TV show that is 45 min. When the show is done, I press stop but only get a black screen, then it crashes a few seconds later to the home screen.

 

I'm still getting glitches on moving text including subtitles (when background moves) and UI. This is with HDR off for UI.
I don't think this is caused by the motion interpolation of the of the TV.

 

I DO NOT want this, this would be very annoying , as I have over 100TB of Remux movies and TV shows.
Unless it comes disable as default.
Just go into the zidoo media center File manager on the home and delete the movie from the folder.

I have the same, black screen and than it reboots automatically. Not sure what the issue is, I have 8x 20tb external hard drives connected, perhaps Zidoo can't handle it correctly.
