couldnt get it to go out of synch ,even after rew a few times

sent a cell clip showing it bipping pretty much on the 0 seconds each time

have you tried narrowing down where the lag is
    IE
try zidoo direct to tv bypass amp and see if that shortened hdmi chain changes things (ie something amp may be doing maybe )

Any word on whether they are fixing the audio sync issue with VC1? I posted a sample file twice, but nobody has responded, they are too busy bitching about their problems. I have not heard back from @mirror after he asked for a test file. I linked the file and then nothing...

Also, I think the over colouring issue people seem to have might be that they have the AI-Enhancement setting on in settings. That or it might show as off, but might be stuck in the on position. I noticed that turning it on made some scenes over-colored.

As far as user image setting is fine, there no need of AI-Enhancement. For me, it's always off.

Did people with sync issues try the "delay playback" setting in hdmi settings?

I tried the Spears and Munsil sync test with every sync option off ( Denon and zidoo) and hot -4 frames delay (166ms) on dts-hd.
I can sync it on the zidoo with +175ms. All sync of on the Denon. .

I also disabled all the energy settings on the Denon but it doesn't make a difference.

    (1080p/dts-,hd /mkv/23,976hz)

Seems to work for Atmos/TrueHD also in my setup.

Yesterday I have received my Z9X 8K and installed it/configured it for the firs time - something interesting happend in regards to this audio/video synch issue that some folks reported here.

When I first connected the box to my system (Denon 3800 receiver going to a JVC NZ8 projector), everything was working flawlesly - I played several movies at several resolutions, using the AI features, and playing around with all the options - no AV synch issues at all.

BUT, when changed to the LLDV EDID to try out the VS10-LLDV conversion, the AV sych issue poped up - from this moment on, I had to apply a negative delay of ~250ms to the audio, in order for things to go back in synch. The funny thing is that, even going back to the non-LLDV EDID did not resolve things, so the box now has a permanent AV synch issue no matter what I do (leaving the delay on, resolves the issue, but seems to be a SOC/firmware problem that should be resolved anyway). I apologize if this has been identified before, but I though on sharing my findings in order to help Zidoo to find the permanent solution.

Have you got Audio Delay switched on or off in the Denon? (Page 120 in the manual)

going to check if tv led improves sync

I tested zidoo led and tv led. . To my surprise both are in sync now..
Even the movie with bad sync is in sync.

( Should we reset hardware when suns is switched on or off)

I attached a short video clip of No Way Out to show the pause…

Hard to see but the file is a high bit rate MKV. Are you sure your network is set up correctly? Pause looks like its struggling with data. Check network settings in Zidoo settings - does it say 1.0Gbps or greater? If it's 100Mbps you will get pauses at peak bit rates in UHD movies.

if it helps any ,i dont get the audio synch issues and my Denon amp is pretty much always the last thing turned on / or hdmi synched by changing from tv audio to Zidoo hdmi port
ie i usually get alexa to turn on theatre ,once its up on zidoo ,i switch to tv youtube ,after a quick browse i then swap back hdmi to the zidoo to start using it

Yeah I am pretty sure my network is set up correctly. Have Verizon Fios 1 Gig service with both my NAS and UHD8000 connected via Ethernet…

Common fail point that has caught a lot out on here ,re the stutter/pausing is ,theyll have an old cat 3 or 5 cable plugged in somewhere along the chain/or old cat 3 /cat 5 outlet in the path ,bassicly dropping speeds down to 10/12M/s ,and too low for 4k image and hi ress audio

simple test can be to open a browser on the zidoo and do a DSL speedtest ,see if you get same up/down speeds as say on your pc

Hmmm interesting take but I did the test and get the same up/down speeds…

For me, maybe it's because I prefer to keep my nas (and it’s sometimes loud, spinning hard discs) upstairs connected to my wifi extender via ethernet and away from router downstairs where I have my Zidoo connected via ethernet. I just don’t know

maybe I should upgrade to 2gig plan?
Or buy low rpm hdds and put those high bit rate 4k rips on them and put in the two bays in the zidoo

simple test would be to temp move the nas downstairs direct to router WIRED not wifi

fail point is possibly the wifi from extender to nas ( even something as simple as someone using a microwave oven can effect wifi signals )

2 gig plan while lovely ,wont help since thats your speed from router out to internet ,and nothing to do with your internal lan /wifi speeds

The Denon starts the last here also. I mostly wait some.

I will keep repeating the sync test once in a while. Curious if it keeps going in and out of sync.

I'm still dealing with that TrueHD/Atmos lip sync issue! At first, I was frustrated, but then I noticed it happening with standard TrueHD as well—in Austin Powers VC-1, for example. I thought it was just an Atmos problem, but it seems to affect all TrueHD movies, whether they have Atmos or not.

    Isn't Atmos TrueHD?
