Yes the exit from hibernation is too long compared to my old Z9X..........I hope they find a way to shorten it!!! Maybe in the next firmware?

 

Thats what they always say till the next firmware breaks it …….
Or maybe this new chipset is more cec freindly ?

 

One interest thing I did that fixed my lip sync situation was to turn the machine off using the power button, waited for a minute, and then turned it back on after the firmware update. It seems to have worked.

 

I think the AML chip is more CEC capable as it's working fine from the first day and in last two firmwares. Anyway, fingers crossed!!

 

Doesn't dat depend on where you select them to be stored in options?

 

I assume it is because of HDMI enchanced format sometimes it switch back itself to standard and does not work properly.
Do you think enabling HDCP option does any benefit to picture quality?

 

No, that wouldn't cause oversaturated colours.

HDCP would have no effect on image quality.

 

I find this type of response disingenuous. "if you had read the forums, you could have known...".

I did in fact read the forums before buying this unit. I even posted asking questions beforehand. But the issues I'm seeing were not clearly depicted and obvious. Further, there's no way for me to have known what to search for or look for up front as the product was rather new and seemed to work. And, how was I to know that I'd run into these issues beforehand? I looked up how it scanned media, and all of it seemed straight forward. But I'd have never thought that the system would crash if it didn't like the way something was labeled. That's just poorly coded software.

If we fast forward a bit, this post is from someone else that's experiencing similar issues to me where the Poster Wall isn't loading. Should he, too, have read the forums beforehand to know better? Or what about everyone that's having lip sync issues now? Should they have all known better?

The Poster Wall, HT5, etc, are having issues when loading posters. It'll sometimes work, other times crash. This is without adding new content. And this is with me getting all folders to finally scan (although I didn't change the naming format again as everything was confirmed to be clean). So, the unit failed to scan several times, then eventually it did make it through it. No rhyme or reason to it. So tell me what I should have looked up on the forums beforehand in this case?

This product is not ready for public release IMO, and it's broken. Further, we're all here operating is beta testers to one of the most expensive media players on the market. All I hope is that enough people put enough pressure on Zidoo to either get them to fix this ASAP, or get the word out that this unit shouldn't be purchased until it's fixed, so that maybe some financial pressure will cause them to take note that we're not their beta testing team.

Oh, and FW v.38 was also broken in a ton of ways, so .v47 being a beta is no excuse for what we're dealing with. I also had many of these same issues in v.38, so that IMO was no less a beta version.

 

This is why I returned my Z9X 8K. It is not ready for prime time as we were told. Cost me $50 to ship it back too! I will just stick with my trusty Z9X Pro for now.

 

In my case, there is no comparison from Z9X 8K to Z9Xpro as AML chipset is more powerful and efficient in all functions. All we have to do is to post the issues/bugs and be more patient waiting for a more stable firmware to be released soon.

 

In my case my Z10 Pro has been boxed up after purchasing my Z30 Pro on release day & so far functioning fine a few little bugs
But has been playing back my sd , 1080p & 4k Movies no issues but i do power off my unit every day.

Using Non “ G “ Version Firmware & no bloat ware Apps installed.

My Movie wall in 4K Mode displays & loads fast using 8tb ssd also .

 

I have a new Z3000 Pro that replaced my Z1000 Pro. I can't get lyrics to load when playing stored music files with Music Player 8. The Z1000 Pro had no problems finding multiple lyrics for the same files that now flash up with a No Lyrics message. I am on the v47G firmware.
I'm using a wired LAN connection and can access the Zidoo server for firmware downloads, subtitle downloads and the weather app. I can watch Youtubes using the SmartTube app.
So I guessing that my internet connection is OK. I am using a static IP and the same port on an ethernet switch that I had the Z1000 Pro connected to. I just updated the MAC address in my router to the new Z3000 Pro one.
My files are on a QNAP NAS on the same domain and I have given the Zidoo read/write access to relevant folders.
While playing a track and I switch lyrics on, there is a 1 second or so delay before the No Lyrics message come up. It's almost as if MP8 is pointing to a wrong IP address, can't resolve and gives up, saying No Lyrics.
Has anyone else had this issue or doesn't anyone sing along with the bouncing ball anymore?

 

Yep.
I never had a problem with my Z9X, but I get no lyrics for any track played on the Z9X-8K/MP8.

 

As I said..I understand you. And I have similar experience in the past. That is why I do read forums and opinions . It are expensive toys.

I had some extra time today and hooked up my z30000 to my third setup, which is in my bedroom, to see if I could recreate the TrueHD sync issue. This is zidoo to LG OLED to Sonos Arc via eARC. Once again I can easily get the sound out of sync by rewinding. Issue is not related to Denon/Marantz or AVR in general as far as I can tell

 

wow eArc is suppose to help with sync if that doesn’t work correctly something is seriously messed up on the z9x 8k.

Loving my UHD8000 but I have been having some trouble with a few select 4K MKV rips. I have intermittent pauses (both audio and video pauses) during playback of the following 4K MKV rips:

• To Die For 4K Criterion
• No Way Out 4K

I've been trying to isolate & identify the file type/format (e.g., 24hz, 23.976, H.265, DV, no DV, Atoms, no Atmos, DTS) , but so far, I'm finding it's not one unique thing. All non-4K files seem to play perfectly; only select 4K rips.

Any ideas?
Should I chalk it up to maybe a bad MakeMKV rip or could it be just the bugs getting worked out of the firmware?

weird how it isnt effecting everyone

i still have only seen out of synch on one file . A bluray VC1 type movie i specificlly copied using makemkv to get full 17gig mkv movie , to test for VC1 audio issues that was reported on another thread for that movie Also i 99.9 percent am only watching 4k movies no 1080 or less

It has the 150 ms out of synch from start of playback but works fine on Z9X Pro to another PAna oled

No other file types maHD atmos dtsx and any of the lossy types , have any issues for me with audio synch ,no matter how often i try rew fwd pause stop restart movie , and im using the z30 8k at least 4 -6 hrs every day watching 4k movies or tv epis

i have VS10 for every thing but DV and raw for audio

link a file you know fails everytime so i can try on mine
