This release has introduced a bug for me - have two films with an AAC audio track, the audio on them is very, very quiet now

Also the same with any FLAC and ALAC files through File Manager

Using a Z30 Pro

 

Your volume is probably set too low on the Zidoo. Either turn it up or, more sensibly, set:

Settings/Audio/HDMI Setting/Volume Passthrough Mode > On

 

EDIT: I take it back, thanks Mark - the latter setting was off. Was definitely on previously, and was turning itself off again after every go into standby. Physically powering it off for 30 seconds has resolved this

There's no reduction in volume for PCM tracks here.

 

Sorry Mark, edited my reply. That second setting kept turning off every time I put the unit in standby. A physical power down has resolved and it stays on now

 

It's always good advice to power cycle after a firmware update.

on trueHD audio I have a sound delay of around +150 ms.... and no problem on dolby digital or dts / hd

 

I gotta say, I'm feeling this too after the latest update. Yesterday I watched a 4K Blu-ray with TrueHD Atmos and it felt like the lip sync was a bit off. I'm hoping the devs can look into that, as it seems like a rather important issue.

 

I’m having some major issues with DTS tracks after installing the beta. I have a number of files where I’m getting no audio output at all. If I switch to a Dolby track on the same file I get audio.

Also having issues with DTS-MA 1.0 tracks causing the video to pause. Once it’s switched to a different audio track the video resumes.

 

I'm not seeing it here. I feed the Z9X 8K via HDMI to my processor which then passes the video to the LG G3. No lip sync issues at all.

 

After this update DV looks amazing. But it stutters sometimes and have to pause and play.
1. please fix stuttering issue after fast forward.
2. Add zoom controls in aspect ratio.
3. Add more categories like HDR , DV, atmos, dts x etx.

 

I have a zidoo z9x, an apple tv and a dune real, and no problem with trueHD, the problem is only on the zidoo z9x 8k, tested on 5 films with trueHD and they all have an audio delay of 150 ms. I changed it to simple dolby digital to make the problem disappear.

 

With this update my Dolby Vision titles are showing has HDR 10 on my Sony Bravia 9 can't remember if it was like this with the previous firmware, can some one tell where I might get the previous firmware so I can try
