    Hello everyone,

Over the past few months, I’ve been experiencing an issue when using the USB-B input of my A8 as a DAC for my computer audio: Everything works fine when no audio is playing, but irregular popping sounds occasionally occur during playback. This problem is quite perplexing. After reviewing many forum threads, I’ve concluded it’s likely related to clock frequencies (CPU and RAM frequencies).

    I’ve tried two solutions myself:
    1. Uninstalling NVIDIA GPU drivers.
    2. Locking the CPU frequency.
Both methods were effective, but they’re not sustainable long-term solutions.
Aside from these, another suggestion was to connect via USB 2.0. I tried this, and while it improved the situation slightly, the popping didn’t disappear completely.

Notably, this issue doesn’t occur with Android or Apple devices—only with my PC.

Do the developers have any better solutions?

Wow!!! A machine like that, and the OS still cannot cope well with USB3 asynchronous data transfer...
An i9 with 192GB RAM!!!! It is literally unimaginable! Switch to Linux. With the same hardware, it will take off...

Yes, I installed this driver a long time ago, but it doesn't seem to have improved anything. Even when using ASIO mode, I still encounter audio crackling and popping issues...

For reference, my driver settings. I have no experience with popping sound with this setting.

    I'm sorry I didn't help you.

Recently, I unexpectedly discovered that the crackling sounds had disappeared. After investigating, I found that I’d been running a virtual machine in the background on my computer lately. This likely occupied resources and suppressed the CPU's Turbo Boost, which then caused the crackling to vanish. Later, I successfully confirmed this phenomenon: when my computer was idle with no background tasks, playing music often resulted in crackling sounds. But once the computer entered a heavy load state, the crackling disappeared. It’s really fascinating!

Ehm, no. It's not fascinating... it's just how things work when you overload your system while expecting real-time performance. Especially from a Windows machine.
