Media Centre/Explorer trying to set up a share. Connected to my NAS within kodi it connects to the share. but within explorer i get the unknown error but not immediately, i can click on 3d movie folder-works then try another folder go back to the 3d movie folder then the dreaded error occurs. I have owned a popcorn hour for years and no problems along with an oppo 93 my network is not the problem it's this unit. Latest firmware 1.2.7
I had this issue. It also occurred after I put machine to sleep (not shut down). Whenever I tried to access the share afterwards, I get the Unknown Error. It happened to me a few times the way you describe it but never found the pattern to reproduce it.
gadgetman, I agree with you about preferring shutdown as me, but anyway, if a device is build (by the manufacturer, in this case Zidoo) to have a stand-by mode, it must works without freezes or crashes or other issue. Else Zidoo should not have added Stand-by mode in the available choice in power menu popup.
