    Hi,
I have the uhd5000. I need to copy files from a 3.5” HD in aUSB3 sata enclosure. UHD 5000 sees it in “settings/about/storage as “safely ejected” but there is no options to “mount” it. I tried ChatGpt that suggested 6 options but to no avail. please help.

HI Eric, you mean, you have a 3.5 HDD in a USB3 SATA Enclosure and you connected it to your Zidoo through the USB 3.0 port?
Just to be sure, to well understand what is your issue.

And your SATA Enclosure is powered by the USB port ?

    Hi, Thanks for your reply.
Yes, my SATA enclosure is a brand new Sabrent 2 Bay USB-C HD docking Station connected to the back USB 3 of the Zidoo. Another WD external Drive (a backup of my ISO's) is recognized by the Zidoo and also docked, but the SATA HDD shows as ''safely ejected'' and so does my docking station. The latter has its own power supply, so does the WD External drive. Could it be a drive error of my HDD? ChatGPT mentioned that because I used the HDD connected directly to my Windows 11 computer to erase an ISO, Windows has left a ''fingerprint'' that the Zidoo does not agree with. So Chat GPT recommends to transfer the data (15Tb) somewhere else and format the HDD with the Zidoo. I would really like to avoid this extensive process. Thanks in advance.

i saw multiple issues with HDD powered only by the USB wire and many devices (PC, TV, etc...).
Sometimes the USB port doesn't have enough power to keep the HDD running. But what i understand both of your docking station and WD external drive have a dedicated wires for the power supply.

Have you tried to change the USB cable of your docking station, just to be sure?

i don't believe in the Chatgpt theory of the "fingerprint" because i think the player would not display "Safely ejected", but maybe i'm wrong.

UPDATE : Copy/paste of user review in amazon of your docking station: Cependant, certains soulignent que le câble fourni est court et ne fonctionne pas du tout. / However, some point out that the cable provided is short and does not work at all.

There are some posts that mentioned that if you connect the enclosure with drive to a tv and it can recognize and use the harddrive, it makes changes to it and then the harddrive can be used on Zidoo. No harm trying.

    Hi @Earthkeeper,
FWIW, I returned the same enclosure to Amazon because it didn't work on my MacBook Pro and instead I bought the single enclosure version that works pretty well.

Hi, I gave up on the enclosure. New powered usb hub, new usb cable, tried the usb2 on the back of the unit (uhd5000) as an alternative recommendation from ChatGPT. Nothing.
I also installed a blank 8TB NTSF format by windows, and it also shows up on the "Settings-about-advanced settings-storage" as ''safely ejected''. It does not how up on the Media Center so that I could format it with the Zidoo itself.
Is there any possibility to ''mount'' it so that I can format it with the Zidoo? I appreciate any help on the matter.
    Thank you.

Hi you are using an External Hardrive through an USB HUB?
Your 8TB is in your player or it is plugged with an USB enclosure?

I found my issue. I'm slapping my forehead for not figuring it out sooner. ALL HDD must be formatted by ExFAT for it to ''mount'' with Android TV (Zidoo). Whether on the Zidoo bay or a Docking Station. I have a WD Elements external drive that was already formatted by WD when I received it. I guess it must also bee formatted ExFAT.
Thanks again SPATA110 for your support.
