This app supports installation on Android TV and is used to display Eversolo playback information.

So you need an Android TV?
Wouldn´t it be better to have an HDMI output from the Eversolo devices that can send a signal directly to any TV?

- Can you actually "control" the Eversolo devices, like choosing tracks etc. ?

 

I think Eversolo opened a can of worms with this new feature...

Hopefully the Eversolo folks will make their version better and available on more platforms. As requested, like Tizen version as I believe Samsung TVs are pretty popular.

Haha, I hear you but I think there are only a handful of TV Os out there. Sounds like 2 are done, Android and Apple TV(coming real soon) . The only other ones that I can think of is FireTV, TizenOs and WebOs. These are the major players. If they can get these next 3 out, then I think they have the majority of the market covered.

So I installed this late yesterday on my Nvidia Shield, it found my A6 and I got the info on screen but no audio. My Shield is connected to my AV receiver via HDMI, my A6 is connected via RCA into same AV receiver.
Therefore, if I select the A6 input I get audio but no visuals, if I select Nvidia Shield input I get visuals but no audio.
Not had anytime to play around, nor seen any instructions of how to configure. Maybe I need to set my AV receiver to use RCA input for the audio and hopefully HDMI for the visuals or anyone know any different?

 

Hi, the TV app functions as the app on phone. So you need to have the Vida Shield displays images and, at the same time, requires the A6 to output audio to the amplifier.

 

I seem to have sorted this with more time yesterday evening. On my Denon AV receiver I set the A6 input to use RCA analog audio source (as it was) and added HDMI from the Shield for video and it now works, of course you need the Eversolo Control app open on the Shield. I was able to switch through the options of the screen view using the Shield remote control and view playlist too. I did get pop up a black icon about press the hamburger icon to get further info or menu but couldn't seem to find out what or how this worked?

 

Looks nice but based on my opinion has one flaw.
When running Eversolo Control TV Android app it should prevent screensaver being activated similarly as video streaming apps.
I can watch whole movie without touching remote and no screensaver is activated but if I listen music with Eversolo screensaver will be activated and I cannot see currently playing screen anymore.

Ideally I would like Eversolo Control TV Android app to work following way
- if music is playing in connected Eversolo device then screensaver is disabled
- if music is not playing in connected Eversolo device then screensaver is enabled

the Eversolo Control app crashes on my device running Android 8.0
I’m using an Xperia Touch which is officially supported only up to Android 8.0
Could you please help me resolve this?
