Hey all. Am I being really thick because in settings, under "display" it says Adaptive Brightness is turned ON but I cant find where to turn it off anywhere?

I assume adaptive brightness keeps adjusting brightness levels?

Also as a side note sometimes when I play a 4K MKV it plays in SDR for a while and then kicks into HDR some time in. Any idea how to resolve this.?

    Thanks

I experience this too, I think toggling the hdmi input of your TV to trigger a HDMI handshake would help it

Adaptive brightness is only relevant to Android phones and tablets - it adjusts screen brightness based on external ambient light. It has no effect on these boxes.
