What are the main differernces between the X20 and the X20 Pro.
    - More RAM
    - Audio Section with XLR Output
    - Case colour

    Anything else?

Lots of people are screaming for Android 7.1, but what are the real benefits from it except compatibility with Andoid APP's needing an OS above 6.0???
This for those not running any self installed APP's and not using KODI/ZDMC.

    More Security features etc
    No longer mobile O / S
    Recording function ?
    Better stability
Dolby Vision [ not that we would get it ]

    @DELUCAS
Thanks for the overview! This confirms my expectations which remain minimal.

Still don't get the fuzz about it:
    - The only real feature would be PIP but media players I have seen running Android 7.1 don't use it.
    - For KODI/ZDMC some security features are important I understand (for those using plugins).
    - Widevine L1 maybe? (required for 4k Youtube and Netflix)
    Missed anything?

There maybe more hidden features under the hood that we dont know about
But if the upgrade gets us some more useful functions in the future cant be a bad thing .

    It might be req for HDR10 + ? [ A 7.1 ]

We need to move forward ........
Only way i can explain it id be rather be on win 7 than windows 95 ! With added benefits for the future. :)

and the way in the future there will be a new completely diff Android system in the making
No more 7.1 or 8.0 etc upgrade path .

I am pretty convinced HDR10+ is processed in HW requiring a new SOC. Have no illusion myself about DV or HDR10+ coming to this generation.

My smartphone is still on Android 6 and frankly I don't miss an upgrade. My previous WM 5.0 phone still works but alas no applications for it anymore. That is end of life (EOL) indeed.

A firmware upgrade at leasts can get you another year usage out of your Media box as such
and add a little re sale value if you wanted to upgrade .

Id rather not hear thats it no more Android upgrade coming or for the X series Range
Besides people have paid a lot of money for these boxes and a upgrade path gives it longevity and value .

Its like an Iphone 5s not getting the new ios 12 or whatever
But you paid a lot for it and it still functions flawlessly why cant i get apple pay functions / ios 12 etc

hdr10 + as still new may be software upgrade path ?
