INFO I would like to propose/initiate the idea of collecting a list of new features, enhancements, and existing expansions in a single post. The community will gain insight into the suggestions, and perhaps the development team will draw some ideas from the fans of this model. The number of likes might influence the implementation of a given solution I suggest numbering new features and enhancements incrementally to avoid duplication in posts, and trying to write one improvement per post (for likes per specific feature).
[1][New Feature] The T10 features an automatic shutdown option after 30/60/90/120 minutes of no song playback. This prevents the device from being accidentally left on all night and also contributes to environmental conservation. Any equipment connected via the 12V trigger will also power off simultaneously.
[2][New Feature] A small AI service correcting artwork placement in the screen This prevents the device from picturing decapitated artists etc (see example)
How can you pretend a square image to be rendered "expanded" on a rectangular, wider-than-taller screen...?
1.) Settings for the 12V Output Trigger. Sleep timer for when it would shut down devices when there is nothing playing for X time. 2.) AccurateRip integration for CD Ripper, maybe gracenote for CD lookup (still the best). 3.) NAA USB DAC Correction integration (NAA to report which USB DAC is connected so HQPlayer can enable the appropriate DAC correction) 4.) Roon support would be nice (though I run everything through HQPlayer/NAA anyways, so low priority for me) 5.) Performance improvements for raw throughput of SMB (copying to and from should be faster than 30-45 MB/sec to an EXT4 formatted NVMe drive over 2.5GB/s NIC) 6.) Ability to disable web service. Don't like web services running if I don't need them. 6.) Leverage some of the work from Luxsin's X8 for using AI for adjustments. "Give me more bass, make my frequency response less fatiguing, etc, etc". I had a chance playing with the Luxsin X8 and it would be amazing to have access to that AI for the T10/A8 Gen II / etc. As for upscaling, it would be amazing if Eversolo worked with the experts at Signalyst on upsampling. Have some nice HQ apodizing gauss filter we can run on that embedded 8 core chip.
What about rescaling the album-art to a smaller square, instead of taking a rectangle from its middle??? Does this happen for every single album? Have you tried replacing (just for the sake of testing...) the album-art with a smaller copy of it (say, 600x600 - instead of the gigantic ones that usually come with streaming-platform downloaded ones that can easily be, say... 3000x3000) If you see a different behavior then the size matters, if not it's a bug... P.S. Size matters (cit.)
Agree, but with local music you can experiment with album-art sizes, in order to (eventually) help the devs fix it. For what I can see, it behaves like this: available display horizontal room => determines the square of the art; then vertical room takes a slice of such obtained square image from its middle... not good IMHO...
I agree , an option like I illustrated in the examples above would be useful: to enlarge the album cover to the top and bottom edges of the display, without scaling/cropping beyond the display area. The right edge should be blurred with a blur effect, and a blurred background should be added to the right. All in the color scheme of the cover art's histogram.
As a frequent user of the PEQ functionality on both T8 and now T10, having somewhere near 10-20 different EQ configurations at any one time, I can tell you it's a very time consuming and highly inconvenient process to add and update your EQ configurations on Eversolo devices. I just spent hours, having upgraded from T8 to T10, setting up all the same EQ profiles a 2nd time. I would love one or both of the following functions in order of priority: 1) Give the ability to import plain text EQ configurations like those used by Auto-EQ, etc. This would make it far easier and much more convenient. See example below. If not text files, then some functional equivalent to that. Preamp: -3.4 dB Filter 1: ON PK Fc 22 Hz Gain 2.9 dB Q 1.700 Filter 2: ON PK Fc 64 Hz Gain 3.4 dB Q 1.160 2) Give the ability to copy / paste EQ configurations. For example, copy EQ Config 1 and paste it as a new configuration.
