Hi folks, hope you’re all enjoying your Eversolo as much as I am. So, a strange thing happens when I connect my Sony Bravia TV to my DMP-A6 using an HDMI cable. When I turn the TV off, the Eversolo mutes itself (-100dB) and I have to manually unmute it to listen to anything else (internal player, TV, other inputs). I’ve tried having volume passthrough on and off, and I’ve also tried turning auto-switching on and off. Neither helps. It mutes every time. I’ve also tried changing settings on the TV. Any thoughts on what I can do to stop this happening? Thanks in advance.
Hey Chris, just a short post I can’t seem to get anything done today., ;-} However, I am by no means an expert.i use an A8, All I do know from reading your post so far in my belief It doesn’t appear or seem to be that anything as far as function on your unit, Seems somewhat normal to myself As there was some very good engineering,, As far as safety features, Some of these features work in that order And we’re specifically designed to, In order to protect overload and keep you from not blowing your loudspeakers or Damaging other components,, In use of my own unit many times had went into the automatic mute mode or the unit Just stopped playing whatever source material I was using at that particular time, until the units volume was turned all the way down And all program source material was stopped were muted, at that particular point afterwards I had no problem or problems Going in to any other unit or units from my Eversolo, a few of these features that are incorporated aware of excellent idea And do act as fail, safe system, just in case by way of accident, of the unit going fall on to your loudspeakers or another source I do not know if that’s your specific problem, but it does sound appear to be the same in nature as what I experienced Quite a few times, There are a lot of folks on this forum that would more than likely have more knowledge or experience Than I would have in this particular area. I just perhaps thought I would share my happenings with yourself However again I don’t know if we’re both exactly on the same path but again what you’re experiencing sounds very similar to myself please enjoy the week and your music. Best of luck to you
The A6 HDMI port is not a general type that you can connect to a TV, it is for multichannel DSD audio output that requires specific receivers to decode such streams, not ARC or eARC. This is for the A6 Gen1, there is an additional HDMI ARC port on the A6 Gen2.
Hi everyone. I have the same problem with my dmp-a6 gen2. When switching output ports, the streamer mutes the volume. For example, if I switch from internal player to ARC_in and back, the volume always sets to -100dB. Is this normal?
@Tommmm Do.Not.Cross.Post. It is unfair. It is a bad practice. It is not Netiquette. It is unpolite and pretentious. Could cost you a ban.
