Seems not. But is it an issue? I (still) think that Zidoo, if any, must release a official, supported and well done way (apk, ota file, double kind of FW images, etc.) to root AND fully unroot X9S, in a better way that the one made for X6 Pro. My 2 ยข
Google it with "ROOT_via_LAN_5.1.1" I recommended this URL: https://baiviet.top/root-q10-pro-using-supersu-himedia-q10-pro-full-rooted/ PS: you can root any android box or phone you want but you must enable "developer options" on your android phone or box first. (Zidoo X9S already enable "developer options")
If you root via this method and do a factor reset will you be back to a non root safely. Is there a method to recover your Zidoo X9s if it doesnt boot?
"ROOT_via_LAN_5.1.1", already tested by me.......... This is why I'll wait for a official supported and stable root way. You 're free to trust me or not...
I Think "Because the protection of zidoo firmware that doesn't want anyone put this(firmware) in/on another machine except Zidoo" and I think because of your machine(one of your zidoo box) doesn't match their ciateria. and I don't know how to fix this .. you must ask "Zidoo Tech Support"
Activation information Model: ZIDOO_X9S NET MAC: null UUID: State: Illegal authorized from someone error (lostcowboy) I Guess it will check NET MAC: (I don't know what MAC address of LAN or wifi) and UUID: via Internet ..... and I found this http://www.orangepi.org/orangepibbsen/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=376
