@Zidoo Support-Kim Just to bring back the original request from the start of this thread,

You can start Squeeze Connect on the A6 just by playing something from LMS to it as an endpoint, but it would be great to have a native app that you can start from the A6's home screen that basically replicates the simple touchscreen interface of SqueezePlay (SqueezePlay - Lyrion Music Server). This would mean that the rest of my family could use it (they are used to interacting with the Logitech Squeezebox Touch) without the use of a tablet or phone, and I could replace my other Squeezebox Touch devices with Eversolo ones.

I wrote a plugin for Lyrion to control the screen behaviour of my DMP A8. It’s annoying that screen stays on all time until it’s screen timeout is reached. Then it stays off. I wrote the plugin to turn on display only whilst it’s playing, it will stay on and bypass the units usual timeout but will turn display off if you pause or music stops for longer than 30secs. Duration is configurable.

Thanks you can also achieve this with home assistant. The Eversolos have a basic web control api. It’s strange the local player doesn’t operate like this as standard though. It just seems to act like a standard Android device in this regards.

It’s a dedicated music player though and should operate like one. Other non Android I have used have this kind of out the box. Display when playing turn it off when not. Not rocket science really. But this is on all time until it reaches the timer limit you have to manually set and that’s a max of 2 hrs so during a long play queue it turns off.

It may be a dedicate music player, but it is STILL an android device, Deal with it.
