Spotify Connect[Resolved in v1.5.60]

    Spotify Connect has been broken for me since (2025-12-15). The same issue happens on bot 1.5.30 and 1.5.45.

    • I start music playback using Spotify Connect, targeting my PLAY
    • I pause the music, the music stops, but
    • Seemingly Spotify "keeps playing" my songs. No actual music is played, but the songs are progressing. Songs are getting changed on both the PLAY and on my phone using Spotify.
    • First, the song starts at 0:00; after 30 seconds, it progresses to 0:30, and the song's progress bar also moves.
    • Now after this the progress bar at 0:30... and the current song will be "played" for extra X amount of seconds, depending on how long the song is. If it's ~4m the song is displayed for ~10sec, if it longer exp. 6m it will be displayed for ~20sec. After that, the song is skipped to the next song.
    • So even tho I'm not playing any music, but songs are displayed on the device every 40 seconds, then it skips to the next song.

    on top of this:

    • I start playing a song and then pause it. Then start playing again, the song's progress jumps forward like 2 or 3 minutes, which can result in the song being skipped.

    Other than the part I'm playing and pausing, there is no outside interaction with Spotify. PLAY doing this on its own.

    Hi there, sorry for the late. Have you tried the latest firmware v1.5.46?

    Hello! I have that very same issue. Eversolo A8 with firmware v1.5.46.
    When I pause music, using spotify connect controlled with whatever device I have (pc, iphone, ipad), the songs keep progressing in my playlist.

    Same problem here. Spotify Connect on a T8 using iPhone or MacBook. Pause works fine but then Spotify advances silently through the tracks in the playlist

    A similar problem appeared after updating to 1.5.46. After switching to a new track, the sound disappears, the “arrow indicators” stop at zero, but the spotify for windows control program shows that playback continues. Switching tracks does not fix the problem. The fix is to restart spotify connect via the eversolo control app

    I think I have the same or similar issue. Using the remote to pause Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition, the music stops but the tracks have moved on when I resume. I am using Spotify Connect, not the Spotify app.

    Hello all, our developers have replicate the issues around "the streamer starts switching tracks when you pause the Spotify Connect". We are dealing with it.
    This issue we are not so sure, could you please provide a video recording this?

    Unfortunetly v1.5.46 has the same behavior.

    Has the 24 bit issue been resolved where you cannot play in 24 bit?

    We replicated the other cases in this thread, but the problem you encountered cannot be replicated 100% yet. So it would be helpful if you can provide more details : )

    Can we get an expected timeframe for a fix on this? I had to stop using Spotify Connect, because of this bug.

    Yes I noticed it too today. I was listening to Spotify, then stopped and go for dinner. I returned and the screen was showing a different song. It ended and and started a new one. All of this without sound

    I can also report this issue unfortunately with Spotify Connect. I have paused a song in Spotify app on my iPhone while connected to DMP-A8 with latest firmware V1.5.46, and it will go to other songs while not playing (I have all the latest apps and iOS versions installed).

    This exact issue is happening with me too. Using Spotify connect. Once I pause a song, after a few seconds it skips to the next song. Using latest firmware V1.5.46. DMP-A6.
