There is now limited access to the old simple APK files and downloading XAPK and APKM files are way too confusing to work with, at least for me. An SAI download to Eversolo can be done according to ChatGPT (if you can trust its advice) to sideload the newer form of APK apps. But ChatGPT has confused things before so I hesitate doing what it says. Wouldn’t it be much easier if the knowledgable members of this Forum or even Everolo itself, help make the simple sideloaded APK apps available to us especially for major needs like Apple Music and Sirius XM when there are important updates. Sideloading is not “recognized” I gather by Google but does this idea further break the “rules” and would place Eversolo and the Forum and perhaps even the member in hot water?
It is not obvious how to use Aurora store. There is no search function. It must work with the Google Play Store but not clear how. I am new to the Android universe Any advice?
All the info you need is on the Aurora site. They even have their own wiki. Download the latest apk and sideload it. Log in with your Google or a dummy account and install apps onto the A6 from there.
I asked Claude to help. Since we have a Chrome browser already installed on the Eversolo, I can download the Aurora APK to the Eversolo from F-droid.com. Then use Aurora with an anonymous login to grab let us say Apple Music to download to the Eversolo right? Claude added this tip: “Tip: Check what Android version and whether Google Play Services are present on your Eversolo before expecting full app compatibility.” Do we have Google Play Services already loaded on the Eversolo. If so, it sounds like getting a simple APK is good to go.
AFAICT we do not have any Google Store capability, this is the main reason why you need to install Aurora's one...
