Should I upgrade my Z9X?

I've had my Z9X for a few years now and I still love it! That said...

I'm wondering if I should be moving to this new 8K version. What are the main benefits? I do wish my posterwall loaded much quicker (ala Kalidescape) but aside from that, I don't really have many complaints.

What am I missing by NOT upgrading?

    Yes mate - definitely:

    4K UI
    New UI
    Much better HDR options
Doby Vision P7 to P8 on the fly conversion

And a shed load of other stuff that'll come to me the moment I finish typing this.

Personal advice, with nothing to gain - if you love the Z9X , you'll LOVE the Z9X 8K.

Thank you sir! I think I'm going to grab one. I don't need the $1500 UHD8000 since the Z9X was good enough for me...unless you think that version is more beneficial.

As far as picture quality and HDMI sound is concerned they're both exactly the same so I'd say go for the Z9X Pro.

UHD 8000 is a lovely device, but unless you need the DAC for stereo sound and dual internal storage, not necessary.

I assume you do not need frame packed 3D support? As that is the only thing the 8K can not do.. that your regular Z9x can...

Good point - but 3D is just for mad people :D

I keep hitting the pause button, and it blows me out of the app I'm using, and makes music play.. drives me crazy every time!
Went z9x to z9x 8k.. have the z9x in a different room now
