I'm genuinely pleased with my A10! I never thought I'd remove the best component from my system, a Mark Levinson preamp No. 38! After hearing the dramatic improvement from integrating my Velodyne subwoofer the way I wish it had been for 35 years and equalizing the whole system, I had to route my turntable preamp, cassette, Blu-ray and TV through it too. The minor degradation from converting A->D->A is less than the improvements, fo sho. The A10 is DEFINITELY worth the price of admission. (I used the Eversolo mic with my phone. I have yet to make it work with the complicated free PC app, though I did eventually get my unique equalization file for my mic. Looking forward to getting that working some day.) Anyway, I was exploring and when in the screen mode, I tapped the icon to switch from horizontal to vertical just because it didn't make sense. Voila, it opened a new window with my apps, which was only one, Qobuz. First time access only, I had to enter an ID and pwd. Then it lets me play the Qobuz app separately from Eversolo's app. With all the advantages, I'm just learning about, for finding new cool music! Finally, the Eversolo app is a bit glitchy, but provides so much functionality, I can tolerate the minor issues. Also, I wish navigation was easier. For example, when I'm listing to an album and want to adjust the subwoofer, I have to re-search for the artist and album to return to see the songs. If anyone knows a shortcut, please advise.
btw, don't laugh at cassettes! My Nakamichi 3 head deck still plays the recordings I made in the 80's very well. Had to replace a drive motor a few years ago, but worth it because I have over 500 tapes.
There's no way cassettes recorded 40 years ago would sound the same without degradation. I also tried playing such cassettes a few years ago, but the highs were very weak and the crosstalk between channels increased. I ended my cassette-playing adventure.
