    I have enabled the Samba server on Zidoo 1000 pro. But transfer speed of files from windows to Ziddoo harddisk is very Slow. About 11 MB/sec. Transferring to my NAS is about 3x faster. I checked my network cables (cat6) and router/switch (1GB). I think my network is ok.
    Any solution?

    I own a Z1000pro / Windows 10 pc cabled network.

    My speed is on average 80 - 90mb/s, they only thing I could of at this moment is that you network card in you pc is
    not running at 1 Gbps (see below screenprint)

    (zie ook reply 154 Zidoo Z1000 (Pro) ervaringen (htforum.nl))

    The PC network card is running at 1GB. Filetransfer to Diskstatition is ok. So it is not the networkcard of the pc. How can I check the Zidoo network?

    Download iperf3 magic for Android and iperf3 for your PC. Read the instructions.
    Execute on your PC
    Code:
    iperf3.exe -s
    -----------------------------------------------------------
    Server listening on 5201
    -----------------------------------------------------------
    On Android
    Code:
    Open Magic iPerf
    change iPerf2 to iPerf3
    enter -c (for client mode) and server IP
    -c <server IP>
    click button Stopped

  5. Hi

    1 Gbps = 1000 mbps
    90MB/s = ?!! mbps :)

    So you have reached almost the maximum speed of your network card (1Gbps = 100 mbyts), where is the problem? ;)

    Kritjuu has the problem with 11mb/s not Polypenko.

    I think Polypenko does have a speed issue, if what he writes were to be true:
    This speed would match Kritjuu's speed of about 11MB/s

    There's a factor 8 between lower case and upper case usage of the letter "B".
    To avoid confusion, people should realize this and act properly wen talking about bits & bytes.

    1 b = 1 bit

    1 B = 8 bits (= 1 byte)

    Just made a new screenprint, whilst copying a 55gb file from pc to z1000pro.

    Copying speed 88.7 MB/s ( 80 - 90mb/s was a typo error) I humble apologize.

    @McBluna
    Thanks for your answer.
    I tried the networktest.
    Speed not more than 94.3 Mbits/sec.
    Yours about 10x faster
    So very slow. Does this mean there is problem with my network or the box?
    Looks to me that network adapter only 100 Mbits. pc and switch are 1Gbit

    @Kritjuu It looks like your Zidoo Player is only connected with 100Mbit to your network.
    It could be caused e.g. by the cable or by the router settings.
    From your post I assume your PC and Zidoo Player are connected to the same switch?

    Router is a TP link Deco S4 mesh router. Connected at TP Link 8 port GB switch.
    There is another GB switch which is going to the Zidoo. But for testing I connected the Zidoo directly to the main switch, because the router only has 1 extra UTP port.
    So the router only passes the internet signal. The switch is autosensing.

    What colour is the LED on the RJ-45 connector at the back of the Zidoo?

    Green = 100M
    Orange = 1000M

    The LED is orange

    Connected at 1000M then...

    You could try another test with iperf3. Set your Zidoo in server mode and connect e.g. from your mobile.

    Mobile 5G wlan to Zidoo 1Gbit has ~500Mbit

    I have set Zigoo already in SAMBA Server mode

    I was talking about iperf3 in server mode.
    Iperf3 checks the tcp connection. If this don't reach >100Mbit, Samba or NFS won't either.
